Just want to let you know this saved me a lot of hassle, managed to get to the door mechanism and finally get the thing open after months of not working
Hey Buddy. Youre and absolute life saver. Was ready to scrap rhe car. Door panel was a nightmare to disconnect from the inside. Sprayed the mechamism with Q20 and voila!
I have just had this problem on an old xtrail, easiest thing to do is remove the outer window seal and you can see the offending blue bit off plastic between the window and outer skin.
Yeah that's what I hoped but it seems the blue part has came off so don't know if that'll make a diff. It's stilled seized but a wee half hour tomorrow should free it again. Is it just the three screws on side panel to release lock? Thanks again though, doors been jammed for almost 2 years 😂
@@monkeytrousers7909 it was. Took the bolts off and gave it a good spray with wd40. Was still sticking, gave it another huge spray just kept working the mechanism and bingo. All done. You're a life saver. 👍 The joy of opening a door 🤣
@@monkeytrousers7909 dude...fixed it....I took the door panel off and reached in and liftted that plastic tab bit gave it some grease and away she went ...thanks man
Cool tip! Unfortunately I've got a different issue where the exterior handle will open the door, but the inside handle does not. I looked at the latch, and it just seems the interior rod isn't strong enough. Would you kindly explain how to remove the latch that you did? With my '06, the exterior handle bolt is rusted tight that when attempting to unscrew, the female end just came off handle. I don't want to damage that further. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If i can't repair, ill just grab a replacement latch from wreckers.
Hi if you can still open the door from the outside take the door card off then the rods,the latch will undo from the 3 bolts by the striker. I'm only guessing but I reckon it just wants a clean up and getting the parts moving. Hope that helps
Hi Jack, unscrew the handle, remove plastic triangle trim at the front by the windscreen, pry door card off along the top by the glass. Then it's a case of wiggling and forceful pulling to get it out. It will come, they are solid so you won't break it! Hope that helps
I unclipped the inside door plastic covers removed the rubber linings from the inside (easier said than done). Gave it a lift and slided out between the the inner door and seat.
It is really difficult, best I found was pop top off first (once handles off) then pull wriggle upwards. At least they are pretty solid so didn't damage it. Hard work though!
This video really hurt my feelings, it is a Japanese vehicle please in future when doing videos on Japanese cars please speak in Japanese. P.S If you could txt me the work schedule for next week soon as you know it that would be much appreciated, in Japanese. See you next week
