what is really cool is when shinji is in the hospital, every time you can hear someone doing piano practice. Obviously we all know that evangelion is a masterpiece on so many levels, like cinematography, story, characters, relationships, morals, but one that is overlooked sometimes (at least I think) is the sound effects and choices. The classic sounds of the train passing by, the spotlight turning on and off, the use of repetition to provide heaviness to the audience, is truly wonderful
