The thing about watching on-boards of Lewis that always amazes me is how he is aggressive and delicate at the same time. He carries so much speed into corners but never looks like he's pushing the car. The direct change is so natural, gradual, the steering wheel barely seems to move. He drives the car on the edge but not the ragged edge, the graceful edge. Magnificent 👌

Lewis from a kid was focused and really took the time to master his craft. From racing those remote control cars around, you could tell he loved it. This isn't luck or fluke, he has worked hard and is relentless pushing a phenom of car further and further very rarely putting a foot wrong. That isn't easy. Just because a car is fast doesn't mean you'll get it around the track in first place. Looking forward to the battles and improvements.

Hamilton himself said that is lap wasn’t great, indicating that he could have done quite a bit better. @@igorrafael6655 he is. He means that when Hamilton ended sector to/reached sector 3 the flags went off suggesting he was lucky to finish the lap

How cool would be Formula 1 if they start the races in the opposite position where everybody is in the championship? 1st in the championship last starting the race, last in the championship pole position. Oh man, that would be so much fun. Picture Hamilton trying to overtake everyone with more car and more skill in my opinion. Kimi and Alonso fighting to not losing position with worse cars, using all their tricks to mantein position

The Mercedes still very clearly have the faster car. Mercedes had a huge advantage last year no car could even remotely challenge. The regulations regarding rake hight reduced their advantage, but they definitely still have the best car. Every time another car comes close Mercedes claims to be the underdogs to make their accomplishments look more impressive, but never turns out to be the truth. Yet some “fans” still fall for it because you see what you WANT to see rather then what it is.

@@Formula1bliz He won pole by .036. It is nowhere near leaps and bounds a faster car. It is the driver. Bottas can’t seem to consistently put it on pole. Neither can Perez in the Red Bull. If Max got pole, ironically you’d say it was clearly Max’s skill not the car.
@@kubemaster No I’ve been saying since the beginning that Mercedes clearly still have the better car, though not dominant. Hamilton himself said that is lap wasn’t great, indicating that he could have done quite a bit better. Perez is absolutely nowhere to be found, a least Bottas is still at front where he can help out with strategy.
@@Formula1bliz It isn’t “clear”. It is the driver. If anything, the cars are equal. They both have individual strengths, and weaknesses. I find it telling that if Max was on pole, guaranteed no one would say “itz da Karr”. Lewis has been doing this since he was six years old. Armchair experts come in not understanding what race craft is... He has shown his skill in Singapore in 2018 when he crushed pole in a car that had no business being competitive. He’s a phenomenon.
