In the settings, there is an "Arachnophobia" setting. You have it on, so it will change spider-y things to not spider-y things. Also, to re-roll shops, you have to unlock it in the base camp. I think it's the old man who has the unlock. Once you unlock it, there's a crystal ball like "furniture" item in the shop, to the left of the top row of items for sale. It may be something that once you unlock it, you have to "activate" it as well, so you might double check that it's purchased and activated (if applicable). Regarding the MP cost of the firebreath thing that was so confusing, fireworks, and any other spells that cast additional spells, they're literally casting more spells with the normal cost of the spell unless the spell effect says that it's a reduced MP cost.
11:39 the translations are still wonky but what that wand means is, it will charge 22 mana every time that wand deal's 45 or greater damage. the boulder does that per hit. but what you can also do is have a summoned book do that damage. those 'charge wands' do not take away from the mana of the wand when cast. you can almost think of them as 2 wands in one.
Just guessing, but my best idea of why the Dragon Breath mana cost increased significantly is because you went from serpent, which casts 1 projectile to butterfly which casts multiple. Since at the end of each projectile you were casting dragon's breath, 1 cast effectively casts multiple dragons breaths.
Using the health traded to shield potion is GOOD because: a) Losing shield doesn't detract from earning the scarlet treasure room b) A lot of rooms drop health (it's even guaranteed in boss rooms) which means that losing health to gain shield is almost ALWAYS a good idea.
55:32 the cool thing about this game has to be that you start summoning butterflies at the start and by the *mid-point* you're firing off nuclear radiation hellstorms Edit: saw the credits, wow this dev team is tiny; that's so impressive
Love this game. I haven't gotten too far through it, and haven't tried the newest content update yet, but the way things combine and stack is so much fun to mess with.
Will be waiting for even more magicraft! also, adava keravda is absolutely insane if you got it early (which is much more likely to happen in higher difficulty)
I could swear that Auto Nav overrides the inherent tracking the butterflies have for something *worse* - at least at the base level of the mod. [Edit:] 40:30 The "discount everything on sale in the room" potion actually works in these rooms, last I was aware (someone please correct me if that's changed), so you can actually save on max hp and potentially take more things with one.
1:36:10 I actually think the max mana might have helped your Guardian Spirit wand with the Arcane Barrier maintain the bubble shield for more hits, since as far as I can tell, it spends MP from the wand it's on to "soak" damage you would have taken, at a ratio of 1 damage to.. what was it, 4 MP? Arcane Barrier also gives +200 MP flat, while the Mana Box is +40/80/120(?)% at base/upgraded/max. I wonder if it would be possible to become nearly unkillable with enough Mana Boxes, Expansion Stones, and Arcane Barrier itself? That would be fun to see.
You need to unlock rerolls of the shop from the old guy at camp. It makes the shop very powerful because rerolls are free, once unlocked, so you can shop for what you want in the early game.
One day, Dan will figure out Volley and it will be glorious. Not today though. As a tip, putting Navigation to the right of Orbit will get you the extra duration and speed without the orbiting motion.
Imagine how much better using arcane Nova would have been, if you could actually giving it a spell to cast. The way you have it now, the Nova goes out, doesn't cast anything, and when it ends, the fireworks cast the dragon breath four times. If you had taken the dazzling fireworks out, it would have cast 20 copies of the fire breath. Imagine how much better that spell would have been and what you finally made. You really should look up some about the game, spell combinations, and how the game actually works. About 20 times during this episode, I would say no you can do that, no you can't do that, and I hope you like this it will be three times better, and I've never even played this game. I simply only watched a few videos on it, and I already know the mechanics better than you. No offense. Literally just saying.
For the %damage vs. Projectile Speed choice at the end. With orbit, more projectile speed = more DPS. Because the higher your projectile speed. The faster each individual flame making up the ring can get back to the same target to reapply poison. You had projectile speed at one point in the early game and did like 4k DPS to the target dummies. Removed it and went down to like 1k DPS. So yeah, projectile speed very much matters for anything with orbit, in any game. It's analogous to attack speed.
Arcane nova broke your firework build. It's kind of a misleading spell, in that it acts more like a support spell. You could have gone arcane nova on your butterflies to get 20 casts and then the firework would make each butterfly split into four. I think that dragons breath is likely not a great spell for pure arcane nova because it's continuouly cast, so I'm not sure you were getting 20 separate casts - you'd need to test the dps.
Now you're done with final boss, maybe it's time to try to beat the hardest difficulty with every set? And also, is it possible that the Magicraft runs on stream could be uploaded here? I would love to watch those runs as well :)). Nice build tho
Uh, let me see if I can explain why when you have dragon's breath going (as well as any "continuous spells") is that while they are going, you cannot cast any other spell till they are finished. There is ways to get around this problem, example being having a projectile cast it for you, charge mode to fire more to make up for that, etc. ... I probably wouldn't do that charge up with dragon's breath since it recoils (if you holding it ofc, or your wand spirit is), but least it be funny, especially if you use it to actually go faster by going backwards on purpose, steering yourself in ridiculous manner lol.
For real, every other run I somehow manage to use a build that slows down my game to 2fps but defeat the boss in 20 frames so it's worth it, but my PC doesn't like me.
I haven't found a good build for burst damage. Higher difficulty has such a high hp pool that it favorise damage overtime or dps. Everything is geared towards spawning more projectiles. Not "one magic bullet does 300k".
@@XxDasantekixX Yeah, even with the lost character with 4-5 autocasting wands, you're better off going for more projectiles generally speaking. Though I haven't unlocked all the spells yet.
There are many variations of charge mode star arrow with duet that have good burst and maybe lag if you overdo it but you really don’t have to. There are also (beside the troll) more 1 summon builds. Of course if you use split, energy saver, nova or too many multishots it will lag, but I simply don’t go for split or energy saving mode and mostly keep it to one multishot so it’s fine.
Hi, butterfly is multi cast , this is why firework cost more.
Butterfly cast 3 or 4 butterfly x 4 firework, 12 or 16 firework proc.
The guy who coded this game must be a masochist.
more like dedicated, but i see what you mean
@@prodshisvi same thing tbh

i’d love to see the series continue!

0:37 "im willing to take a hit" so said haelian foreshadowing the future and his pc sweating aside him

48:47 spell radius + your auto navigation is an good combo so it can reach any enemies

ICYMI. In the start screen/room, there is passage on the right to the area where you can test spells and staffs.

1:31 ohhhhhh thats what that meant! thanks haelian!
One day, Dan will figure out Volley and it will be glorious. Not today though.

You don't need to hold back on your spells. People ran crazy combos - and game did survive even when lag was measured in seconds.

4:24 you activated the friendly setting i guess
Haelian using orbit for duration and rolling over duration spells 😂
And Volley as a budget Energy Saver, Overscatter as the cooldown mod...

This game seems like vampire survivors meets slay the spire (relics and abilitie)
8:10 you need to spend your meta arcane blood? to unlock that. talk to the old man at camp
Your mana cost of the dragon breath increase because it was being cast 4 times at once vs being cast once by itself
Now you're done with final boss, maybe it's time to try to beat the hardest difficulty with every set? And also, is it possible that the Magicraft runs on stream could be uploaded here? I would love to watch those runs as well :)). Nice build tho
I've only had a couple on stream and they were both ehhh, I got the VOD channel in the description if you want though.
The lag is how you know it's working!
47:51 spell rebound is so bad for your build you need the butterflies to make dragon breath activate so yeah... It counters the poison
Okay but wtf does spell rebound do. The wording in this game throws me off. Laser did not rebound so what do?
@GiggityGooh hmmm did they change rebound with laser?(Check sifd on magicraft he made vids where lasers did rebound)
It just rebounces projectiles

For extra fun put a mimic cube on arcane nova and make an arcane nova that casts 20 arcane novas that cast 20 poison serpents. RIP FPS. :)
9:33 its only a chance right now after a bit you can buy guranteed rerolls
Why are there the Death's Door ost 😅
For real, every other run I somehow manage to use a build that slows down my game to 2fps but defeat the boss in 20 frames so it's worth it, but my PC doesn't like me.
holy crap 1 hour 40 minutes
My game froze last night from using 2 arcane nova's with parasite+hand of chuthulu.
To everyone thinking you need to crash your pc to win in this game, you really don’t, there’s plenty of ways to do good damage with fewer projectiles
for example? coz every dps build involves spam, only thing is epic summon shooting itself and one tapin bosses(is performance friendly)
I haven't found a good build for burst damage. Higher difficulty has such a high hp pool that it favorise damage overtime or dps. Everything is geared towards spawning more projectiles. Not "one magic bullet does 300k".

While it is not burst damage, stacking orbits on a charged lightning dash helped me finish the game in record time.
Its funny, green is the absolute worst for pixels ;-;
You gotta watch your own videos sometimes man
