Released in 2018 when they were 18-16-13 and if you check the credits you'll see they had professional credits on just about all aspects of the album. One of the many reasons they were so hesitant to sign with a major label until they spent 7 months working out the details with Lava Records to insure they retained almost full control over their music and image.
Greatest 3 minutes in rock. & yes, definitely give the studio version a listen. There’s a Pau whisper track throughout that gets lost in the live. ALSO, watch the version from The Warning Cave (detour version). It was a pandemic-era charity concert and just like the MTV songs, they went ALL out.
there is one of this from their practice room called The Warning cave (De-Tour) from I think 2018 you get to see them up close and personal and no matter what performance of this tune you see it always kicks ass

Their dad Luis used to have his own recording studio (Dany was very young at the time) and we have him to thank for why their sound is so damn powerful and pure. Dull Knives (Cut Better) is one of those songs that we will still talk about 50 years from now. Timeless music never sleeps. The songs never have to be over the top and long (leave that for Dream Theater or Nightwish). Punch hard in the face with these rockin tunes and they are forever remembered. This is why these ladies are already legends. Hell The Beatles were only around a short time and became legends. Catchy hooky songs will always prevail!

A favorite for sure. Part of the storyline from Queen of the Murder Scene. The protagonist is losing her mind and using dull knives to inflict more pain. Or maybe just end it all.
Everyone says that this song is too short, which it is. So now in their current shows, they do an extended outro to Dust to Dust and jump right into Dull Knives, and it is Awesome!! ❤❤❤
The Beatles' songs are also short. Short songs means more radio play and unedited songs.

@@charliebald1079 I can't pay more attention to them. I listen to all of their songs all the time. I love every one of their songs. I am a completely over the top obsessed TW fan. My family thinks I'm crazy but I don't mind that. The Warning will be the biggest band of all time and watching their career take off is a huge joy to me. Viva The Warning!!!!!!

You have heard several songs from Teatro now have you considered doing the Queen Of The Murder Scene album live at Lunario for the 5k? As you may know it's a concept album and is best in order and live to see them fully embrace the characters. Lunario is the full album I highly recommend it.
Plus if done live chat can always fill you in on the story if you miss something just like a movie. Seams the ideal opportunity for it. Either way I'll be here for it of course.
I agree - Teatro is an incredible concert, but I would honestly like the complete QotMS experience. Too many reactors react to the tracks out of order, thinking they are just songs, and not a complete story of the descent into madness that is Queen of the Murder Scene. And that experience changes the context of so many songs from that album. Lunario for the win

Others here have recommended Dull Knives in The Cave. Give yourself a treat. It’s the closest thing to being invited to see and hear them ‘at home’. They are equally incredible off stage and at home. You get real close to each of them. Pau is always Pau. This is where I became aware of Ale’s smirk! And Dany is playing to the camera!

The Pepsi Center concert has amazing content as well, the Dust to Dust from there has a new(ish) extended outro where Dany and Ale walk out into the crowd on the elevated walkways. Bad-ass rock stars who ae at the same time adorable.

It is a bit too short , but the girls tried and tried to make it longer , but couldn't to their satisfaction .Any way , every great band needs a short song in their catalogue ! Which worked out well because the song became one of the best three minutes in rock music .

This is such a great song - it stands up listen after listen. There's so much going on here in such a short time that it's hard to fucus on any single aspect of the composition, but I implore everyone here to listen to what I consider Ale's best bass composition. The best way to actually hear the whole Bass part is to go to Daisy Pepper's channel (she's also a Spector Artist, and is a friend of TW), and watch her Bass cover of this song. The only thing wrong with the video it's too short. So the ladies said just watch it again. They say it on one of their 3 vlogs from Queen of the murder scene album. They tried to make it longer but nothing would make it longer. They said the song wouldn't let them make it longer. They made 2 songs trying to fix the problem

a dull knife tears instead of making a clean cut... torn wounds are very hard to repair... in this 9th song of the concept album, "Queen of the Murder Scene" (aka QOTMS), the Queen is considering suicide as one way to possibly stop her evil side from taking hold... by using a dull knife, she is making it harder for someone to stop the bleeding and save her if she is found before she expires...
in another of the songs on the QOTMS album, *Sinister Smiles* , the lyrics talk about the water in a tub turning red from blood... this is seen as a female way of suicide because the tub would keep the mess all contained and not mess up other parts of the location...
to me, the lyric "I'm plucking roses but keeping the thorns!" is about seeing, gathering, and embracing beauty while retaining only the darkness and gloom that was used to create and protect that beauty... that's some pretty deep stuff, there!
