1 Remove harddrive from PC a, 2 Remove CD drive from PC b, 3 Plug harddrive from PC a into the CD Drive sockets of PC b. PC b will read the drive straight away into windows copy data from PC a Hard Drive to PC b Harddrive. Swap the harddrive back to the CD drive and select setting on Bios go to CD drive setting and select CD drive, to get it back to being a CD drive socket because when a Harddrive was plugged in it automatically turns it into a Harddrive socket.
Absolutely.........
I just unplug DVD drive from my old Vista computer then use that connector for any spare hard drive allowing access to them on that computer.
Offline of course as you only want to copy off any data or photos from old drive
I did as you did in your video, but he tells me that it is a removable disk without data found is this normal? (Visible only in disk manager on windows)
How do you know which hard drive connector fits the device correctly
can you name that in @5:13
Whenever I plug in the power cable directly to the IDE drive it turns off my adapter? What might I be doing wrong?
Is it possible to extract data from malfunction hard drive to new hard drive
Is it possible to recover data from old and almost 8yrs old dead pc??
do u need the ac to dc plug for an ide
It needs to be powered by the power supply.
where can I find that exact adapter?
Will the power from the pc suffice instead of having to use a power cable
You can plug old hard drives into the CD drive sockets and it will just load up like any drive. I did it with a 2006 Dell dimension.
Does this also recover photos?
Wopi I can plug in a hard drive .
dont call a mac as a pc, its not
The only time he mentions PC is when he named the hard drive PC backup because the contents of the drive he backed up was from a Windows PC.
@@gshaunsweeney 4:36 he says computer, its not its an abomination
