The G4 plastics and that asinine aux LED headlight are the worst looking designs on the snow. They are nice sleds though and they look way better than the G4 wide body 900’s.
The 1.75 backcountry x is such an awesome track for the 137-class sleds. Shame the only one you can get it on from the factory is the goofy-ass switchback
Why is it every time they talk about the 850 Doo ‘it’s a formidable engine with good reliability’. Sounds like ford talking about their 5.0. But Polaris gets the Hennessy treatment of being the single greatest naturally aspirated two stroke.. I know these guys need to talk them all up but man. For engines so unbelievably close in performance in the real world not sure how one can be so great but the other isn’t on par. Next times I race my buddies 850 Poo I am posting it on RUclips. For the record cats 800 is good too. Maybe not quite there with poo and doo but doesn’t get nearly enough talk.
That’s why I am not dropping this... the 850 poo is not better in any way shape or form then the 850 Doo. It gets worse economy, smokes more, and already proven to be less reliable. But we should all be in shock and awe over the patriot? Why?
2018, 2019, 2020 and the XRS is still the best. Yes others have been catching up but the cycle will restart in 2022 when they make some tangible changes.
I love snow trax tv with the exception of 1 thing. WHY, and I mean WHY are the only products reviewed the top of the line, most expensive models in each brand??? And its not just snow trax. Let's review the products that most are gonna buy. Review, and compare this to the base model of its type. Im not so convinced that this sled is 3-4000 better than the base model. All I hear in all their videos is them saying how much better polaris is than doo.
We hear ya. We've got a ton of archived reviews if you're thinking of buying anything used, but I get where you're coming from if evaluating an in-season base model.

What? The x sleds have had rebound adjust only for years which makes little sense. Only very experienced riders should be adjusting rebound from stock settings whereas adjustable compression dampening is much much more useful to most riders.
@@krisi.2011 Oh for sure, but I meant most people can't ride that much and its way easier to adjust compression so that you just barely don't bottom out. Most people can't ride anywhere near as much as you do and for someone like you, you probably know what rebound does and how to adjust it. For the average Joe (and lots of average joe's buy xrs's) they can really screw up the sleds handling adjusting rebound without knowing what they're doing where as compression is much easier so I found it crazy that ski doo changed from the compression adjust only front shocks to rebound adjust only on x sleds

If you ride only in excellent snow conditions and don't ride very hard you can get by without but riding lakes with little snow or trails that have gone icy, you're asking for an accident riding without studs
Matt Miller unless you are running on nothing but ice witch most sleds would get hot along with high-facts you wouldn’t do it unless you have a death wish.
