@@ARTSPECK Aye..oh and mind you Christmas 🎄 Day itself(day before) was a warm mild day compared to years gone by and I think boxing 🥊 day was similar. Saying that it will b a lot cooler next to the North Sea. 😆 😂 🤣
@@JustRay57 that’s a very good question Ray. I have no idea of the answer, all I know is that I recorded every single one as they descended the steps to the promenade. So I guess the way to get the exact number of participants is to play my video in slow motion while counting them. If you or anyone else does this, please let me know as I’m very interested to know the answer myself.
@ARTSPECK hopefully someone from the lions club can let us know as they record all the people. I did it for 14 years in the 80s and 90s when I lived there and there was thousands did it then and it was the biggest boxing day dip in Europe.
@@JustRay57 that would be about the time period when I was a Lions Club member involved with organising The Dip. I clearly remember one year when there was a deep freeze overnight and we were all out at 8am chipping the ice from the path. Pure dedication from all the organisers which goes unseen.
A great turnout and decent weather too .. although that North Sea is still f f f freezing.
Regards from Whitley Bay
Brilliant to see so many people taking part 👏
Thank you for your comment ❤
Aye and they picked the mildest Christmas ⛄ 🎄 week to do it in.
Saying that I'm pretty sure that the North Sea was still as cold ❄️ as normal. 😆 😂
Some very brave people risking the freezing cold ❄️ North Sea on Boxing 🥊 Day. 😂 😲
Rather them than me. 😆 😂 😆
You and me both! Thank you for your comment ❤
