Thanks so much for another great video Judd. Quick question. We are still very new to the industry. Is mastic a good solution for repairing potholes? Or is it really only good for large cracks? A secondary question, the prices you mention are typically for US market I assume. We are in Canada. Thanks so much.
Pleasure and thank you for your comment and questions! We do have equipment and supplies in Canada and CAD pricing. Go to the website and click the Canadian flag in the top right and shop away. We appreciate you. In regards to mastic, great for large cracks but better to go infrared for potholes. Mastic kettles are also a significant investment compared to doing infrared pothole repair.
Great question! The lifespan of an asphalt infrared patch on a parking lot can vary depending on several factors. Some of the key factors that can influence the longevity of an infrared patch include: Quality of Materials: The quality of the asphalt mix used for the patch can significantly impact its durability. High-quality materials, such as properly graded aggregates and a well-formulated asphalt binder, can contribute to a longer-lasting patch. Traffic Load: The amount and type of traffic the parking lot experiences can affect the lifespan of the patch. Heavy traffic, such as commercial vehicles or constant vehicle movement, can place more stress on the patch and potentially lead to premature deterioration. Climate and Weather Conditions: The climate and weather conditions in the area can also impact the longevity of the infrared patch. Extreme temperature fluctuations, freeze-thaw cycles, excessive rainfall, or prolonged exposure to sunlight can all contribute to the degradation of the patch over time. Maintenance and Repair: Regular maintenance practices, such as proper cleaning, sealing, and timely repairs of any damage or cracks, can extend the lifespan of the asphalt infrared patch. Neglected or poorly maintained patches are more likely to deteriorate quickly. While it is difficult to provide an exact lifespan for an asphalt infrared patch on a parking lot, a well-installed and properly maintained patch can last several years. However, it's important to note that patches are considered a temporary solution and may eventually require more extensive repairs or resurfacing, depending on the overall condition of the parking lot. Regular inspections and maintenance are essential to identify and address any issues before they worsen.

Do they have 30 days to pay you? Or how long does it take?
If you're referring to the pothole repair client, payment to the contractor should be made once the job is complete.
Yea!!! Let’s gooo!!!!
Aquaphalt costs $60., $ 125 per hole. $ 60 left .for labor .overhead, etc.???
That’s why it’s a lot more profitable to go with hot asphalt and infrared patching.
Weird. I can get a entire ton of millings for $26 , cost around $6 to fix a pothole with the infrared heater
