- after running it again in the water barrel carb is still not working correctly. fuel is running out and the motor was overheating. This video we will go through the carb and test it plus install the new water pump impeller

That Merc 10 reminds me of younger days having one on an 8-foot hydroplane I built from Glen-L Marine plans. The summer Elvis kicked off. Still have the full size plans around here some where.
I know exactly what your talking about. They used these motors on mini hydros back in the 60's from the 10hp through the 28. I'll share a picture of one here as soon as I can find it.

Here is the picture I found with one of these motors. Pretty cool, wish I had the boat. It looks like a mark 30E or H? One is long shaft and other short. Either one I bet hauled ass

Hi Jim, Yep what I thought too but after I pulled the reed cover and then the head you will see a bit more to the story. This is the last long video for a while. my next videos are limited to 10 minutes. During the pandemic folks were tuning in but now people are back to work, so they don't have time to watch long videos. Will try this new format to see how it goes over.
