    Can you imagine how long inception would have been if they used the master craftsmen top? 😅

    Man I love it when craftsmen win over scientists and computerized machine users.

      Implying CNC users aren't crasftsmen of their own sort is pretty insulting. It's like saying the older guys in this video aren't craftsmen because they didnt hand carve the thing like people before them who had no machines at all.

    If it wasn't for precision machining we wouldn't have modern yoyos, which are an absolute blast to play with.

    The record is over an hour. The manufacturing skills are good but it is the design that matters. Tops lose energy as they pump air from the centre to the outside, so optimising airflow is crucial. Also very important is making the centre of gravity just fractionally higher than the pivot point. Watch this record breaking design:

    For those interested in this program😊
    This program is "超絶 凄ワザ!"
    (X-technology "SUGOWAZA") that was broadcast on a Japanese station called NHK (like BBC in England).

    The space age team's top is hollow, and because it has mass on the top of the hollow section that gives it instability at low speeds, but the Master Craftsman's top was not hollow but was tapered from the shaft to the exterior weight and this gave it much better low speed stability than the other team's top. they deserved to win. Old age and treachery will win out against youth and vigor every time! LOL

    The ultimate custom Beyblade match, where touching your opponent is so suboptimal the authorities gave up on using an arena that would allow it; the players never bothered with it, so why should the entire sport?
    Also the voice over only partially blocking the original voice is the funniest thing ever

    2:13 rough surface for the tops. Guess the ballbearing had more friction than the point on this surface

    This video demonstrates why television has been surpassed by RUclips and content creators in most of the world. I’ve watched interesting top making videos on RUclips that were more interesting and with none of the distracting theatrics and filler rhetorical questions. Content creators also talk about the ‘lathe’ and manufacturing techniques as well as strategy like using rubies, tungsten, and distributing mass to maximize angular momentum without hand wavy imprecise ‘explanations.’ This tv edit assumes the average viewer is wowed by technical prowess and incapable of or not wanting to know more about the technical nitty gritty.

      The devil is in the details and we were all warned against dealing with the devil. Literally the people who push beyond common knowledge are those who defy the warnings and ask questions on their road of knowledge. I can't speak for all areas teaching methods but in my general area asking questions is a quickly unlearned behavior.

    I have a theoretical fly-wheel design: light absorbing material all around the wheel, light fires from the top of the wheel, can be high energy light and really fast spinning wheel depending on light-aborbed amount per area on the wheel

    • @wonggran9983
      @wonggran9983 2 года назад

      no need for segments of the light absorbing material, actually the requirement for this design is that the material is continuous around the wheel
