I enjoy watching your videos and how you always have something going in the beds
😊 thank you
Love the extra color added with the spinners. Where did you find them? We're hoping to get a batch of the super soil mixed up this weekend to get some containers going.
LOL... I get them at the Dollar Store, and watch for them year round... I have quite a collection !
I love zucchini! Your raised beds look fantastic!
Thanks so much Kris and Larry !
I learn so much of my gardening from you, Tina even tho I am using containers for everything. Thanks for everything. Take care and be safe.
Cathy, we really appreciate your support ! You always have such kind words to say... You really are a blessing !
@@BumbleBeeJunction Thank you so much for the kind words. You just made my day.
Can I grow zucchini in my bucket garden?
We decided last year we would double down only on what we use the most. For
our garden space zucchini didn't make the cut. Besides, it seems on any given
day, I could go for a quick ride and find 2-3 places with a table of zukes and a
"FREE" sign. We still share what we grow with our kids. Your suggestion of
growing Spinach was a Winner. Had never grown it before. Was nice this year
to have 2 beds up and on the go before May! In Maine, that's unheard of.
TYFS Tina :)
You betcha... Those cooler weather crops should all do well up there !
Can you tell me why some of my squash; are turning brown at the very tip. Most are growing beautifully, but there are a few that turn brown. They are summer squash. I have picked them off, but can't seem to find out why that is happening. Any thoughts?
It is blossom end rot... It is cause by a lack of calcium (plants use it for structure much like we do)... However, if you have enough calcium (say, crushed oyster shell) then note that plants use magnesium to uptake calcium, so you can also add some epsom salts for that...
I’ll need to trellis my zucchini. Have you tried this with squash?
Not really, but we have had some over the years that might could have used a trellis...
Bugs always kills my plant. What do you do to prevent that. Thanks
We spray with Sevin liquid concentrate until the plants put on edibles, then switch to BT which is considered organic...
Perfect timing!! I was just about to pop some seeds in my garden.
Sounds like a plan !
I'm having issues with vine boars.
Liquid Sevin concentrate weekly...
how do you combat vine borers?
Liquid Sevin concentrate until they put on edibles, then switch to BT which is organic...
❤️
