Your lessons are the best online. You actually singing along helps out sooooo much. You have no idea. I seem to never get lost with your covers and manage to learn everything much much faster than other videos online.
Mate, your singing has improved leaps and bounds over the years. From someone who has to work really hard to make his vocals sound better, I can relate - so kudos to ya!
been waiting for this one, my fave song this year!! so thanks so so much Justin, love your lessons :) couldn't play anything before i found you, got a few under my belt now thanks to you!
Justin, I'm one of your monthly donators, and; even though I may go a couple of months without a lesson, I love how you deliver when I need help. Absolutely incredible lesson! I truly appreciate and respect that you go over all of the subtle nuances as well as less difficult variations for some of the difficult chords. You're my favorite cyber teacher!Btw, I found another easier variation for that (7:50 ) " C#7-over E bass "; I simply make a full B7 shaped chord down at the capo. Has a nice full sound for the fast triplet? strum and will do nicely til I can do Jason's chord fluidly on my gigs. Thanks so much!Respectfully,Hooch😇
Great lesson Justin! Did pick up something around @7:10 when describing the chord used in the bridge - you say it's an F# with an A base, I believe it should actually be F# with an A# base (hence the barre on the 6th fret).
Great lesson as usal! finally i'm starting to play these song, something i could only dream of a year ago! Just one question regarding the reggae strumming: when i'm doing the short upstrokes i feel quite a lot of resistance from the strings. this puts a lot of pressure on my index finger (that is holding the pick). Am I doing something wrong here? Maybe using to much of the pick (as in, going to far down in between the strings). Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!!
Justin, do you think you could do a tutorial for "What's so funny about peace love and understanding ", by Elvis Costello? I really want to learn that tune, and I haven't found any decent lesson videos.
***** My current set has held up so far since then, but I really do appreciate the generous thought! It's really nice to see someone on the internet willing to help someone out!
Hi Justin, been following you for months and love the style of your tutoial (and your voice as well). The other tutroial is fine but this one seems a bit complicated on the chord. Great if a simple chart could be added.
Hey Justin! Thanks for the lesson and your wonderful videos! At 7:08, I think you meant to say F# with an A# base (not just A base)! Otherwise, fantastic!
Amazing, I wanted to learn this song. Question: why does the C#7/F chord have such name? Because the root it is implied to be C#? Why can't other note be a root?
I guess the bass plays the F note on the record. The chord name can be a bit confusing in this context, since this voicing doesn't include the C# note, and thus we only have an F-B interval. However, the vocals go D# - C# during the chord, providing the rest of the harmony. So you could even think of it as a C#9/F with fifth omitted, or something :P
Instead of playing that chord at 11th fret, couldn't you just play it at the 7th? Same shape. Sounds almost identical to my ears. Same notes in different order but easier to get to from the B chord at 7th fret. That's how I learned it. Cheers for the vids, Justin.
+greengoblin2006 A dom7 chord with a C# root note contains the following - C# E# G# B. Justin plays a first inversion chord with the 3rd in the bass (which must be named E# and not F). E# can exist in certain scales.

Holy shit you nailed the vocals!
Is there any specific advantage in playing B as an E-shape at 7 as opposed to an A-shape at 2?
Justin, do you think you could do a tutorial for "What's so funny about peace love and understanding ", by Elvis Costello? I really want to learn that tune, and I haven't found any decent lesson videos.
Your wife is a lucky woman! :)

great lessons justin, any chance of The breeze by Eric Clapton?
Maybe… ;)
The tab I'm following (4.5 stars, 5k reviews) says the capo goes on the 4th fret, but in this video the capo is on the 2nd...which is correct?
Hey Justin can you please teach us how to play jessie by Joshua kadison on guitar thanks
Thanks for the lesson, Norm MacDonald's brother :D
cool :)plz put electric guitar videos too
Amazing, I wanted to learn this song.
The C# is implied, and you'll hear you could just play C# major and it would sound 'right'.
Instead of playing that chord at 11th fret, couldn't you just play it at the 7th? Same shape. Sounds almost identical to my ears. Same notes in different order but easier to get to from the B chord at 7th fret. That's how I learned it. Cheers for the vids, Justin.

I am confused how can you have an E# bass E goes to F.

can you please show me how to play knocin in heaven door by gun 'n rose thank you
11:59 👍
heh description says Day Tripper by The Beatles :-)
I love yr video justin but the E chord is killing me.
You really do sound like James blunt
Defnitely need a cutaway for the live version its really hard and uncomfortable with just a regular acoustic.
I don't understand the last chord this guy is playing. The a shape barr on the e. Can't find any lesson or any source of what strings he is pressing.
The last one of the verse section? That is an A shape barred chord, he is just not using all of his fingers
if there was a time to learn barre chords its now. ok this is too hard
somebody turn cc on XD its so funny
+danny belo fuentes i just died xD
Nice job Justin. But, your voice's pitch is peaking. Move that capo back a fret. Cheers !
