The Reason UPS Trucks Always Have Their Doors Open

- The first time you saw a modern UPS truck on the road, you might have been concerned for a moment when you saw that the door was open. But then you realized that they all had a door opened at all times. Why is the United Parcel Service forcing its drivers to always have an open door while driving, even in the unbearable heat of the summer months? Ultimately, like so many other decisions that businesses are making these days, it comes down to simple cost-cutting. Let’s take a look at the real reason why UPS trucks always have their doors open.

Are you friends with your UPS delivery driver?
My husband! Summers are brutal for him here in Texas
My family and I are friends with a FedEx delivery driver
Also FedEx has their truck doors open too
Yes, we love him!

He brings me bottles of tea, like Dwight hides under his desk at 3:47, of course I like my driver 😆
Their slogan should have been “Our door is always open”.

I am a retired UPS driver. Those trucks get so hot on hot days that you can't even touch the metal shelves inside the truck. It's brutal, and if you get sick from the heat they will blame you and tell you that you are not working safely. I am so glad to be done with that part of my life.
Im so glad I just get load information sent to my elog and I go do it and everyone leaves me alone. I will never work where people are breathing down my neck on my ass all the time ever again
I left UPS at the end of 2020 after 20+ years. While I'm thankful for the opportunity and benefits the company afforded me. I'm glad to be out of there and hope to never look back.
I'm so sorry. That's just wrong. This video was eye opening.
I took early retirement and left close to 2k on the table if I had worked another 2 years. Got tired of the UPS grind. No regrets.
Glad you got out of that inhumane treatment at work.
If UPS had an HONEST motto: "We'll get your delivery to you, even if we make certain our employees die in the process. Your package is more important to us than the health of our employees."
But you will also complain when your package is a month late
@@jalapenopoggers8310 How do you get a month late if someone stops to get a drink or go to the bathroom? They have to try every delivery each day a package is on their truck (RTS after 3rd attempt). They might show up 5 - 10 minutes "late," but will deliver it that day.
@@Ivellios23 its not related to that, but they screwed it up and the other hundreds of dollars was wasted until everything came, which it should have at the same time
@Chad Fisher, like the motto. You know if it wasn't in "chocolate drown" it might even make UPS trucks visible in traffic, or is that at the rest stop.
I wonder what corp would say in Sundays plane crash....rip to the driver.
These guys are so fast that by the time your door bell (ding) fades away, they are already back in the trucks moving!
Bozzy B Yes😩😂
what door bell? Mine never rings the bell. Guess that would cost a extra 1 million dollars if he did.
Mine seems to just fill out missed sticky and keep moving. Guess too much time to knock on door and wait.

That's a lie getfo!
“Why UPS trucks always have their doors open”
Video: Being a UPS driver is terrible and nobody should ever become one
In Florida a UPS driver average pay is $75,000 a year. I knew one that was in his 25th year at UPS as a driver and making $136,000 a year. It’s hard to get a job as a UPS driver cause there’s little turnover. FedEx pays their drivers half of UPS so they have high turnover.
HarryRacer18 it’s actually the opposite of what you said. UPS has a higher turnover rate that amazon and fedex.
HarryRacer18 ur prob work at UPS
I worked at a UPS in lathrop, Ca
In the warehouse. Everybody starts out part-time in the warehouse loading trucks and when a truck does become available then seniority comes in. My supervisor said I shouldn't expect to be a driver for atleast a year or two at the least. That's fine if I didn't have rent and food to buy.maybe if they paid more than minimum wage I would've stayed but nope
@@HarryRacer18 but how long did it take them to become a driver? It's good money don't get me wrong. I personally couldn't wait the time it takes to become a driver. I needed full-time work. Not part time which ups does to everyone
The doors are open so driver can piss out the door without stopping.
Lmfao. Thanks for making my night with that comment bro.
You know i think that’s EXACTLY why they don’t have doors on their trucks
I worked for UPS for 38 years. I drove before short pants and company provided ice and bottled water. I knew where every water fountain was and never had a heat episode. (In South Alabama...) it was hard work, but with a high school education I lived in a neighborhood with doctors and lawyers. I retired at 56 and now spend the mornings looking at junk on RUclips...😊

Same with me. When you drive for UPS you have to learn all the tricks. I drove when we had to wear that chauffeurs hat and bow tie.
UPS driver told me when I asked him why he drove with the door open he replied "it is too hot with it closed I have no AC " case closed.
No a.c. is exactly why !!
AsitisToday it takes to much time to open the door they said it takes 2 seconds to open the door and seconds adds to minutes that adds to hrs that’s what I was told.
What about in the winter?
Ex Fucking actly!
next thing you know they will ask you to not put on your seat belt because that takes too long between residential areas
So the uniforms are brown to conceal the fact that the drivers aren’t allowed to take bathroom breaks.
Lmfao!!
I drive for UPS and I couldn’t give a rats ass what they have to say about bathroom breaks, I’m gonna take mine when I have to go and don’t care if they say shit
lincolnlobster no doubt. Never thought about that one

There is ZERO Human value anymore, its all about the addiction of Wealth and Power
@Spike Flea yes but if your CEO made 100X the lowest worker (like in 1950-60) then you could still have highly paid, happy workers with no effect to the customers or prices. BUT now we have CEO that make 5000X the lowest worker, so that money is vacuumed up to the top.... Prove me wrong!
@Spike Flea OKay.... Good luck to you!
Spike Flea its slavery. you're literally defending your slave masters. The company doesn't care about getting packages delivered as fast as possible for the benefit of the customers. they care about getting the job done as fast as possible because its cheaper to do it that way.
Hopping Rabbit Oh, i see you were given a capitalist education and never reached out to learn the truth on your own. Here's the reality kid. Even if what you're saying was reality, which its not, its not good for the planet. There is no wealth on a dead planet. You can't have endlessly growing economies / consumerism and a habitable planet.
Richard Clutterbuck thats an awful lot of incorrect assumptions for not being interested in getting into an argument with me💀
It seems like UPS always is on your street at 10am. However, the day that you’re expecting something important, UPS shows up at 3:30.
🤣 - OMG, this is the truth!
9- 10:30 next day airs
1030- 2 all business
2-3 Residencial
3-5 pick ups..
It's all scheduled with them... no lunch unless u have time
That’s crazy because I remember working there and we start delivering around 9. Really depends on the driver and how much packages they received. Sometimes the truck was half full over times it was filled to the brim.
It depends on how many stops they have, when their trucks are done being loaded, if they have big items they need to get off first to navigate inside the truck. Maybe have it shipped to a pickup location if you want to ensure it's delivered that day? Seems like you missed the point of this video
dont put down that UPS driver who got also hit in his cab from that plane crash....he was killed.
Instead of these sadistic a-holes paying monitors to track the drivers, they should give these guys A/C and hire more drivers.
Al Knowing nah not really. The key word in my statement is “instead.” Rates shouldn’t go up because I’m not suggesting the company spend more money. I’m suggesting they spend their money differently.
The trucks actually do have air conditioning but I keep my doors open all day during the summer so I have a breeze going thru that the AC doesn’t have much effect
@@chuckhaeberle9140
No they actually don't
Then by UPS's logic they shouldn't be equipping their vehicles with heaters either, though I believe those are mandated by law. Of course, you need the heat to clear the windshield. Hmmm. So perhaps they should remove the windshields.
I can attest as to how hot vehicle interiors can become. Part of my work is with Fire Alarm systems. At one point I had a conventional fixed temperature (135'F) heat detector in the back seat. I pulled it out to use and found it had activated, This was during the summer several years ago.
Exactly!
What can brown do for me? Not kill the delivery driver bringing my package.
Lol
He's rich, he doesn't have to.

Former UPS driver here. The company definitely considers its employees just another part of the machine.
Unfortunately, that is every company's human resource policy. People will still vote against their interests in every election though.
If my company ever gets like that I’ll quit. If I can’t use the bathroom now you’re messing with my health.
@M Detlef Which they are pressured to work through.
Well I mean, I just searched it up and they make, on average, almost $20/hr and overtime (which you get a lot of) $45/hr. Like idk about you but if I'm paying someone more than twice the amount of minimum wage, I expect maximum efficiency. And besides most teachers don't allow kids at school to use the bathroom during the period (my school each period is 1 hour and 30 min) so why can't drivers wait 2 hours to use the bathroom?
@@darinseansablan8977 You stupid as hell aren't you? Kids can use the restroom and that teacher would be suspended if parents find out their own child has to wait a hour and a half. How about you hold your piss for 2 hours everyday dumbass

When you rush your employees, that’s when accidents happen
they don't.... but they know why the driver is so slow...
Slow drivers cause about 80% of all car accidents.
When a company tracks your every move literally, that's when I say no way I'm out of here.
It's like you are in prison or something.

If you hate big corporations, don't buy anything that Walmart, or Target sells, and forget about having an automobile, take the bus. Better yet, move to the middle of Africa, or any big communist country.
UPS cares more about the Package car and the packages than the driver.
My uncle was a pilot in Viet Nam. He was sent to pick up troops in trouble. When he landed, he was under fire. The 'bosses' told him to take off. They only wanted to save the plane. He refused until the troops boarded. To this day, at reunions they thank him for saving their lives. Said if he left they would've been killed.
I mean...I worked inside a UPS warehouse and they don't care that much about the packages either. They all get squished on the belts because speed is king.
They care about packages reaching the destination more than anything else. That’s their #1. I’m a ups driver
Worked for ups while I was in college as an unloader, loved the job but one day I fell in the truck and split my knee wide open on the rollers requiring 27 stitches. They made me come back to work not even giving one day off when I couldn't even walk. I had to sit in the office and do paperwork so they could save their safety days and not have to start over. I was done after that!
@M Detlef I was switching sides of the truck asshole!
@M Detlef Must be a supervisor. Douchebag.
You must have went to concentra...
I am glad I never ended up driving for UPS, I thought about it a few times since I had a CDL and thought it would be better than in the semi. I remember when my ac went out in my truck on the way to Las Vegas and it was 122 degrees that day, I called dispatch and told them if it wasnt fixed the next day I am not driving. My phone even stopped working because it got so hot inside and it told me to cool it down before using it again. I would take my packages a little later for the UPS driver to be able to take a break when needed. UPS needs to cut cost in other ways, how about removing all those cushy office jobs of the ones who are sitting there monitoring every little move and put that salary towards some damn breaks!
It's good to see this because everyone wants to talk about how bad Amazon treats their employee's while UPS has always treated them bad. I am a roofer in Florida and I work on UPS buildings and I feel bad for how hot it is for them, that's a problem.
Nobody: “I wonder why UPS drivers always have their doors open”
Everybody: “Well now that they made a video explaining why, I might as well watch it”
cody2167 stay dry out there, is it raining, what’s in the box, who is it for, are you sure there isn’t another package in there, why don’t I have to sign (CIR), it’s COD?, when do you guys get helpers, my ______ works at UPS, stay warm out there, stay cool out there, do you have seatbelts, could you bring that inside, do you have doors, how do you go to the bathroom, I should be getting another package today, last one was broken, (call tag) it isn’t ready(RS3), OJS on the car and the customer is like, “you have a helper already?” Or... “are you training him.” No time to talk “name.” The list could go on.
The ones making the decisions are in air conditioning building. Make all UPS building help save on energy costs
Make them use flash lights as well to avoid using electricity for lights
Always has been that way People in upper echelon don't have to save money only the workers at bottom of pole do If they had to make honest living they couldn't put their pants on properly and keep secretaries for looking at
Most of the buildings don't have A/C either. Only in the offices.
I worked for UPS for five years, four of them were part time, and one year as a driver. Pay was great, benefits were great, but I absolutely hated the job. After one year of driving, I quit and never looked back. That was before the sensors, I cannot imagine working with someone monitoring your every move. Sounds like a nightmare.
‘What can brown do for you’ just got a whole new meaning…

Yeah, the message could have been put across in much less time with out the corny graphics and drop ins from lousy movies and TV programs. And exactly what point were you trying to make? It is common knowledge that all those large companies mentioned, and plenty of others, all suck to work for, unless you are a suit, an executive.
Why didn’t you just google it then, instead of watching a video you knew was longer?
The reason why they don't do shorts videos is just because monetization, like UPS, they don't care about us, they care about the the views and followers (money)

Yes this job is hard but the feeling of making 40$ an hour with free insurance and a fully funded pension of 4,000 dollars monthly when I retire is priceless.
I love this company and my job, I take pride in my work. This job isn’t for everyone but the few who make it are Generously rewarded by the company.
Just as an aside, air conditioners are not that efficient when doors are opened and closed frequently in addition, they add cost to the fleet and maintenance can be a headache. Air conditioners are better used on the Long Haul trucks. Fans are very effective on trucks that have the doors left o pen during the routes. IE garbage trucks. Garbage men in the San Francisco Bay Area easily hit six figures annually with full medical benefits and a decent retirement. Like UPS, it's hard work hot, sweaty and sometimes crappy weather. Generally, the customers appreciate what we do for them. Offering, ice water, ice cream Etc to the drivers on hot days. Every job has its ups and downs. At least some of the UPS and some of the garbage jobs have great wages with excellent benefits.
Hope that pension doesn't get stolen like so many have already !!!
Steve's Shed . I know right! Fingers crossed everyday.
I respect the fact that you love your job and take pride into it. UPS could be breaking federal laws in work environment.
Great benefits, but that money does you no good when you have a heat stroke and you are paralysed. Or even worse you pass out while driving and kill an innocent family with a air-conditioned car. It's unsafe what they are doing and I hope OSHA is listening. The company health statistics don't sound good. No job is worth your life.
Two much micromanaging.
You said a mouth full! It's RELENTLESS!
@Brian The Explorer the TEAMSTERS have no power there.
I wonder how much they spend on micromanaging?
Did you hear how much 1 minute of wasted time adds up to per year? When you have that many trucks on the road you have to watch all that shit
But no one Micromanaging Management...they usually the ones that are dishonest right off the bat, from shaving time off ur time card to meet there numbers, or when the Company fails to meet it service deadlines Ups has a list of excuses to get out of paying u back ur owed refunds and they blame it on some act of Nature/Weather/God... At my warehouse we had almost 200 post office packages sitting in our yard for 3 weeks being exposed to the elements, Rain and Heat all packages where practically ruined ...you couldn't read the shipping label and ups still sent them to the post office DESTROYED . baby products to medical supplies in dry ice coolers DESTROYED. UPS ONLY CARES FOR THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR
Make sure if y’all see them drop off your package at least yell thank you off your front porch when they drive off, I’m sure it will make them forget about hell for 10 seconds
Why UPS has their door open: "Makes it easier for drivers to get away once they've just thrown your package over the fence".

Just know one thing: Being a driver or hub/warehouse worker for UPS (or even FedEx or Amazon) IS NOT FOR EVERYONE! You have to be in excellent physical (and even mental) condition for jobs like those. It's like the Army, in a way. You gotta be able to handle what's being thrown at you on a daily basis. I used to load the semis for UPS on muggy summer nights when I lived in Pittsburgh. Trust me, it's not fun. Less than 3 hours into it (only a 4 hour shift), you were drenched. Thank God they had lockers and showers there where you can get cleaned up when your shift ended. My boss was actually great (and helpful). Ultimately, a bigger calling was in store for me (and one that wasn't physically demanding) and I just couldn't do it anymore. I miss it in a way, though.
David Smith well said
You guys have showers!?
I worked as a parcel truck loader on the sunrise shift (3-8AM) for eight years in two different states. Yeah, you get a workout and you get filthy. The work gets easier once you learn the system though.
Being a part-time college student getting time and a half, benefits, and a 401k was pretty nice. Plus they give you so much stuff and food! It was a hard decision to leave and I was making over $16 an hour when I quit but now I have a good career making use of the degree I went to school for while working at UPS.
Hey back in the early eighties I worked for UPS as a Reloader while I was in High School, and I too remember those 4 hour shifts during the summer loading those 18 wheeler trailers. This was in Durham, NC. The pay was $10.41 an hour, and Union dues were $25.00 per week. I too miss it at times!

I remember a guy telling me that supervisors would sometimes follow trucks around. If the driver jumped out for a quick drop off...and left the truck running...they would "steal" it and drive off leaving the driver stranded. When he called in, he would be fired.
Damn thats cold
That is true. Not sure about the firing part though. Or the stealing but different facilities operate differently. Most of the time In my situation they follow you to make sure you’re working safely and efficiently. When they do follow me the only criticism I get is I’m not working safely enough 😂. Like for instants I wasn’t in the habit of using the handrail getting in and out the truck and I got talked to about the importance of using it and now there’s never a day I don’t use it.

As someone who delivered in the U.K. for an Amazon depot, via FastUK. It was horrific! Absolute torture. Constantly on your case, vehicles that are questionably roadworthy & bosses that treat you like shite. Six weeks was enough for me!
UPS doesn’t care about any of their employees nor do they support their drivers in any way, and driving, while it does have the potential to be a very good job, is way too challenging of a job to do without support from the company. Instead, all they do is throw as much shit on you as possible and do many things to hinder your performance and they always blame you for it. I only lasted two months driving for them. Made my 30 days only to quit less than three weeks later. If I wanted to be treated the way they treated me then I would much rather join the military instead.
These facts were mastered many years before ups even started. I drived big parcel trucks for the USPS for 30 years.
As a truck transporter, I picked up a few of those UPS trucks from the factory where they were built to various locations and can confirm not only are they not air conditioned, also they have no insulation throughout the truck which only amplifies the heat or cold inside.
When the trucks are made the engines in them are already equipped with A/C units. UPS then takes those units out in order to save fuel costs. Last summer in NC a driver dried of heat stroke.
Dried or "died"?
Was told by a UPS driver he could request two 8 hr days per month!
True
To do what, take off?
They have a 9.5 hour work rule, but the company doesn’t respect the rule
@@donaldreinholz3745 they might not want to respect it but when you get 3 9.5's in a week you file a grievance and they must pay you extra. They do not like that.
That is true.
Im gonna start leaving out a cold water bottle and snacks for my driver 👍
We like lobster snaxx
But they can’t take bathroom breaks to piss the water and poop the snacks
Apparently usps is the same. No ac. 😕
Honestly you have no idea what a generous and appreciated gesture that is. And we know the addresses of nice people and douchebags on our routes. Care to guess who gets the best service?
@@handymanhoney-do6881 Dem dooshbagz gets da better service cuz da nice guys be finishing last
It's going to be 120°F this weekend and I fear for the ups/delivery drivers in my area. 😥
It’s a problem to treat humans like robots but when they get replaced by robots it’s a different problem
Emma Robots are replacing jobs, if u can’t handle the job find something else
PhillipBurks I don’t have a problem w robots replacing people’s jobs I’m just saying people get upset at jobs being too hard and then they get replaced by robots and people are still upset.
@@philburks4913 lol. Like graphic designer? Talk about useless
The truck ac vents can direct cold air on the driver, the door being open is not an issue. The issues is the cost of having each truck equipped with ac. Also the cost of the more gas needed to keep the ac running. I worked for years on an outside job driving company trucks. The trucks were equipped with ac because employees not overheated are so much more productive they made more profit even when considering the cost of ac. One company in Texas physically removed the ac compressors from their trucks. The laptop computers slowed down and eventually burned up costing thousands of dollars in equipment and lost man hours. They put the ac compressors back in the trucks.
UPS drivers drive rental trucks around here. All my UPS shipments the driver has a Uhaul, Budget, Penske, or plain white moving truck. I guess they actually get heat and ac that way.
Ive worked for lots of warehouses and I could tell UPS drivers come making pick ups and deliveries.... that job is no joke!!!
That’s why the ups man be flying through my neighborhood
tyneisha strong yeah I can hear the engine. Red lining long before they coming
That's why it looks like he's running from your door after he delivers a package. He's trynna get all stops done quickly to punchout and go home
I bet my UPS guy is wishing he had some of that heat lately.
I love the Jim Carry video. Had Fed Ex deliver a ceramic egg barbecue. Glad I was there when it arrived. Guy was sliding it on floor, tilted it up and I could hear the sound of many pieces of broken ceramic in the box. It was labeled fragile. I told the driver to not bother taking it off. I said I know it is broken. He insisted upon removing it from the truck. I protested, but he he insisted. It was heavy. He opened it and of course it was in a million pieces. Told I would not accept delivery. He did load it back.
"What can brown do for you?"
It can soil my underwear
I wonder if they where monitoring there driver that got killed . Maybe a closed door would have saved his life
Darren L Hull im sure they “lost” that footage
When I was younger I just thought that UPS had one truck for everything
😂
Same I also thought that
So y'all just thought UPS was another version of Santa Claus. Lol out here delivering packages in milliseconds
i never know what the hell are they for very long time... poop color...
With how slow they are you would think 😂
Yea i was not a fan of delivering packages during xmas in So Cal....good ole 90 degrees and no a/c in the truck lol
UPS has delivery trucks built on 4X4 pickup chassis cabs, mostly used up in the mountains here, I think those are air conditioned, as they usually have the windows up in the summer.
Well that's explain why they always speeding, To catch that cool breeze.🤔💡💭
Copied here from my response to a comment below:
I delivered mail for 11 years and it was pure hell back in the '80's and '90's before they installed GPS trackers in the seats so they'd know when your butt left the seat. Heard not much has changed. Management treated us like we were subhuman. Thought we were all liars, followed us around to catch us doing something wrong. I worked in the heat and humidity without A/C in Florida, just a TINY oscillating fan, which was brutal in the summer months, and we couldn't drive around with our doors open like UPS. We stood for HOURS casing mail without a break before we had to load all the mail and boxes and then spend more hours delivering. I delivered mail from bikes and walked routes in the rain with no protection from the weather or dogs or weird people, outside of pepper spray. WORST job I've ever had!!! Hated it from day one, didn't leave sooner because everyone kept reminding me how great the pay was. When I walked off the job after continual abuse, it was the best day of my life!! REALLY!! I lost 3 times my pay on my next job. Still here after almost 23 years. LOVE the way I'm treated, never regretted leaving that HELL hole, even with the massive pay cut!!!
Your story reminds me of a friend of mine. She got a job with the postal service here in NYC at their main branch on 34th Street. She started around the holidays on night shift. Twelve hour days from 6pm to 6am would get home at 8am. Told me people are in that place like zombies. The pay was great, night bonus + all the OT check was real nice. She just couldn't handle it had to resign after about 4 months. She was in tears feeling like she was a failure. Told her not to worry about it sometimes you gotta know what you can't handle. She at a new place now for over a year and loves what she does. Money is not good but she's happy with it.
You're so right about the USPS. I just retired in September. It feels soooo good to be away from that place! Crazy, bipolar supervisors, esp the women. The weather and making you go back out even if it's dark. I finally had got a route that was decent. I just couldn't take it anymore and I'm enjoying my FIRST holidays without having to go back there. THANK YOU JESUS!! After 33 years of thankless service, My TIME is FINALLY HERE! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
@@jusrobington Money does not buy happiness, for sure. So happy to hear your friend is much happier where she is now.
@@argerinejordan4703 @Argerine Jordan Merry Christmas and CONGRATULATIONS on FINALLY leaving that disgusting and disturbing job. Not one second have I regretted leaving 24 years ago, no not even a split second.

Do they get lunch breaks? I'm sure they could use it, i worked in Construction no stop till lunch, usually 730am to 12pm , lunch than 1 to 6pm at times tired in the heat outside but gotta work
As I was looking at the title of this video a UPS truck drove by my house so I figured it was a sign to watch this video
UPS drivers get a warning letter if they are caught with their bulkhead door open while driving. It is absolutely a no no. I did it for 30 years.
times have changed
The rules, however, have not. Brilliant post, btw
Driver,24 yrs in package 6 in feeders,Yes measured the heat in the back of the truck
150 on the nose..Had to know how to work your work..If you get stuck in the back looking for a misloaded box,Your body can dry up until you drink water, then your sweat would start back..
@Granison Riley I spent 12 years in the back of a ups trailer and still did not have enough senority for a full time bid.I made more per hr.35 years ago then pters are paid today.I knew it was hotter than 120 my shoes were sloshing in sweat in the first 10min.
@@dennypluto4028 Yes,And it's hard for someone to understand what you go through at ups unless you have personal experience.. Granted, there are many jobs where people are working just as hard though..
Granison Riley your right.I was hired at the right time in ups history when pters made ft wages but we didn't get the hours.nobody left because we made 5× min.wage. ups wanted to create pt employee turnover so in contract in 1980 they cut pt wages in half for new hires and they would never catch up.even to this day I made more per hr.over 30 yrs ago than pters make today.
As someone who did wheelchair for years I get the idea of not having AC because you open the doors frequently still it helps to even just have the fan blowing air on you as I live and worked in AZ. I dont envy UPS drivers here
Personally I quit doing Amazon deliveries but ended up doing Amazon Flex instead, I disliked the constant push for more stops per hour, now when I work faster I get the opportunity to work more or go home early. Screw being an employee for a delivery service, being a contractor is always better!
