The boat is going to be amazing .I don't know how you guys stay so motivated after all the work you've already done and now this huge project. I guess you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and you can see the amazing beautiful fishing boat you will have that will give you years of great service. My hats off to you ,working fishing and running a business and working your butts off in your spare time. It will be great once you get everything fixed the way you want it. I just hope people appreciate how much work you guys have already done and the amount of work you still have to do. Throw in working in some pretty crappie weather and I think you guys are amazing. Well done.

I didn't know that you could use woodworking router bits on aluminum. Makes total sense though since it's so soft. Is the welder a tig? Nice job!

As long as they are carbide no problem. Bar soap works as a great lubricant and extends bit life. Also it doesn't need wiped down prior to welding like oil based lubricants. The welder I am using for the bulwarks is a Miller XMT 304 with 30A Mig spool gun. For the fuel tanks, I used a Miller Dynasty 200 AC/DC welder that can Tig aluminum.

Beeswax for the lube, and you should be pushing the router counterclockwise, not pulling it clockwise.

Think of all the valuable experience the boys are getting during the refit! Priceless, and of use for the rest of their lives.

Really enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing the boat work, along with your efficient fishing operation. Just some input from an old SoCal deckhand.
