We have two varieties of persimmon here in Italy. The one that you're eating is called "caco mela" and you're supposed to eat it as an apple ( "mela" translates to apple ), so you have to eat it when it's crunchy and sweet like you did. And the other variety is just called "caco" and it is referred to the one which is more soft
Ooh gotcha, thanks!

My parents love it soo much. The local name for this fruit in the UAE is ‘kaaka’
Aaah thanks for sharing
The funny thing is, that the only thing we know this fruit for in hungary,
is because ‘kaka’ literally means shit.
kaka means kid/baby in urdu lol

@@GoldenGully Literally persimmon pudding, belive it's one of the major desets in indiana
@@GoldenGully is it kakka fruit?
Persimmon pudding is the best. It is the perfect fall treat. We make ours with thr American persimmon but you could use other species of persimmons
I actually have 2 persimmon trees! They are so good, I really prefer them without skin. We get over one hundred every other year!
My favorite fruit! Here in Brazil they're called "Caquis", I generally eat it by itself, never really tried or heard of any recipes with it
verdade, nunca vi receita com caqui
My grandfather used to eat this for his lunch when he was poor and bread just found the name again thank you
🙏🙏
Bt the price of this fruit is quite expensive in India. Not affordable by the poor.
@@krishnapriyabanerjee645bruh it's cheap in Pakistan
Lol this gives me vibe of, living in a forest and eating this. I have actually tried this and it's preety good.

Portable sunset
"This radiant specimen should remind me of childhood on koppai, when we'd watch the sunset while enjoying a big dinner. But instead it makes me think of the onset of night on this planet, and the monstrosities that brings. I've covered it up so we can sleep in peace"-Brittany
Persimmon...A old friend of korean...
감은 진짜 달달하고...다양하게 먹고...부드럽고...나 너무 좋아...
I am always happy to see em at the grocery store when I go shopping.
I always eat too many, and get stomach aches ^^
Hehe go easy!
Bruh why is his videos so entertaining :')
This is my favourite fruit! I also like to eat it when it's super soft, with a spoon 😅
Its crazy how big you have gotten and the amount of views your videos get these days, ur gonna have your own cooking show one day😂
Hah appreciate the support!
eat it by itself, and we always let them get ripe and mushy haha. reminds me of my grandma so much!
Granny knooooows

Here in Brazil people eat it a lot! I don’t like it tough, in Portuguese we call it “qaqui”
I love it when it's mushy it's so satisfying to scoop it with a spoon
Hol up, is that the fruit that makes your mouth fuzzy? 😂
Right
If anything makes your mouth fuzzy dont eat it before your throat decides to get swole
that’s a sharon fruit
Yeah, whenever I eat it, my mouth gets really dry!
Fun fact no one asked for: Me and my dad use to grow tomatoes 👯🍅 ✨
1 Million coming soon 😁. Hope your channel reaches it QUICKLY. Great content btw. Noice
In Indonesia, we call it Kesemek.
Back before the 2000s, there's a lot of people eating it and even making jokes about it. But now, It's very rare here
I like how you give your own opinions of food in a calm way
Your vids are ✨AMAZING✨
I don’t eat persimmons a lot but since I’m Korean when it’s season my mom buys a whole box of them
Me and my mom eat these all the time. its so good!
I absolutely love persimmons. Love their natural sweetness
this is straight up my favorite fruit in the whole entire world
I make it in jam, one of my favorite jams honestly
Hmm, interesting.
I've NEVER seen that before in my entire life
it looks cool, I really wanna try it
I’ve had these and I love them!
These remind me so much of my grandmother, and I would always eat them like apples, not sliced or dried. They were a delicious snack especially in the summers.
I love these they are so good.
they taste almost exactly how i imagined pumpkin taste like as a little kid
Dried persimmons as well as fresh varieties are a popular fruit in Korea and nearby Japan, we have a long history of coveting the fruit as a sweetener or as gifts for others alongside Asian pears (also called nashi pear or bae), watermelons and fuji apples!
I remember eating these without the skin and I LOVED IT!!!
I like to eat persimmon by cutting it like an apple but in a bigger way! I really like persimmon. It’s super sweet!
I LOVE those. I eat the fresh ones very soft and the dried one are very yummy to me. I really love persimmons. ❤️❤️❤️ And figs. Omg I love figs. I could live eating only figs breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I see a Persimmon Kulfi coming on Saturday 🤗🤘
I HAVE TRIED THIS. I LOVE PERSIMMON . I AM INDIAN AND I LOVE TO SEE YOUR VIDEOS.
I love these. The variety you have is my favorite. I leave them until they're almost too ripe then freeze them. Let them thaw a little then eat with a spoon- it's like low effort sorbet. A squeeze of lime lifts the flavour too.
My Pakistani grandma always eats these- if you cut it into circles there's a flower pattern on the inside btw, looks really cool
my grandma from my mom’s side used to pick the persimmons from the trees in her backyard off and would cut them into slices and dry them- THEY WERE SO GOOD, and they were still somehow soft and chewy
I love this its so good
Yoo I love these we call them "Japani Phal" here in Pakistan! Phal - Fruit
Yup in the northern states of India *Himachal Pradesh* .we call persimmon as *japani fal* in hindi.
I had one of these today, mine was just like yours, its lovely 👍
Here in Japan, we normally eat them as they are. They also taste great when paired with cream cheese.
A lot of people here in Pakistan refer Persimmon as the Japanese Fruit.
I eat it often, and I love having it by itself w/ the skin on and just a little ripe so it has the perfect bite.. and we call it kaka!!
ik that its a funny name!!!

I guess u are gonna make persimmon kulfi right? Ngl that would actually taste good
I ate persimmon in my childhood i loved it
Waiting for your kulfi😌
I love your videos❤❤
I had one in elementary school when we had different fruits randomly. They were pretty tasty, not too juicy but more squishy and soft feeling. It’s nice
As a Filipino
I generally just cut off the stem cut it up with skin and all, and my favorite time to eat em is when they have that nice crunch while still holding sweetness😁😁
In the southern United States they grow wild and are a "lot” smaller and are extremely sour when green! I like to make them into a jam, then used that jam to make persimmon jam thumbprint cookies!
@@nramrez that sounds so yummy!!
My dad's favorite food! Lol. He even tried to grow it in our garden, but the plant didn't survive Switzerlands icy weather....
I haven't eaten persimmons for ages
I absolutely love them
And fun fact: Most ppl in Pakistan just call them Japani phal(Japanese fruit)
Or sometimes they also call it "Hum Lok"
I come from the part of the United States where the American persimmon is available. There are whole festivals in the fall dedicated to the fruit - Persimmon Festivals. The best treat in my opinion is persimmon pudding. It is more of a steamed pudding. It has a texture that is like a mix between a pudding and a pie. A bit rich but it tastes of lovely fall spices. There is also persimmon beer too!
He had us in the first half not gonna lie
Love these. Next time I get some, I want to try to make jam.
BRO THE SEED IS THE BEST PART😩
My dad brings these after work everyday and they are amazing and amazing
I love these
The best part is the jelly surrounding the seeds. SUPER soft with jelly pods are the best for me
The best freaking fruit
I littarly love those
I prefer these before they're ripe. They got this great crunch that's similar to an apple or with the snap of a carrot.
I ate this so much times ITS SOOOO GOODD
There is so much Persimmon in turkey its kinda like a fruit and its my favourite healthy snack i like eating it without the skin
I am from Himachal, India and these are easily available in winters in this rural area. Tastes awesome and I love it ❤❤❤❤

My dad loves them,he usually cuts in half and eat with the spoon like a kiwi.
Here in North Carolina we make persimmon pudding( basically a soft, cooked, almost paste or gelatin like casserole type dish) also our persimmons are a lot smaller around here
I used to eat these when I was younger they were one of my favorites
I ate two types of those, in my country is called "caqui"(Brazil and Japan too). There is one type that is soft like a mango and other one consistent like an apple...

These are very popular in Albania we also eat very soft and for the dry one we put those on a long string and they are kinda small
I have a persimmon garden in *India* . persimmon is my favourite *winter fruit* . 😁we call persimmon as *japani fal* in hindi.

Me as lebanese eat these every winter they are kalled kharma in arabic and we eat them when they are verry red and the inside is either gummy and liquidy or only liquidy. My dad have 5 trees of them is his garden . They are good and sweet but the thing is that here in lebanon if they aren't red and soft you will feel stuffs in your mouth and you will feel that you mouth is like dried (it's indescribable) but yeah we eat them with skin or without the same
Omg my mom eats it alot too. She like craves for itt
Alternate name: portable sunset
