Absolutely brilliant video, Monisha! You’re really good at creating content. You’ve simplified information and made it very easy to perceive. Thank you! And thank you for mentioning me! You’ve pronounced Liaquat National Hospital perfectly! 😀🙌🏽
Very informative! 👏 My question is - Is it necessary (or recommended) to get some research experience before applying for a training or a non training job in The UK?
I have some queries.. 1. Can you plz mention the passing rate of MSRA exam? 2. After passing msra exam how many years it will take to complete speciality training (opthalmology, cardiology etc.) 3. After completing speciality training if i want to work in India will my speciality be valid here or i will have to give any exam? And the last one. 4. I have worked in private hospital for two years in India. Will that experience certificate work (to bypass FY1 and FY2) ?
Do I need to have the 2 years of experience in medicine when I am applying for the training or when I am starting it? Because the time between the two dates is quite long, and I can have another few months during it
I presume you were in final yr mbbs right now. Im in final year too, planning to prepare for plab in the internship. Is there a way we could exchange info/plan the preparation??
Thank you so much for the comprehensive information. I just want to be clear on a particular info you mentioned. You said the Round 2 application will open in July for a potential February 2022 start. However, I noticed that this was referred to as the Round 2 Readvert on the NHS site. Are you referring to the same thing? Thank you once again.
First you graduate from medical univerity and then apply for OET/IELTS or it can be done before you graduate? And for how many years is the OET/IELTS score valid?
Hi doc, I got my gmc registration via plab pathway and am currently working as a JCF in gen surgery. I was just wondering, is it necessary to have 12 months experience, after my registration to get into GP training. Or am I eligible to apply after 3-4 months of experience.? Also,I have 8 months experience in general Surgery back in India.Do they consider it? Many thanks.
Mam , i want to pursue core surgical training, currently i am mbbs final year students. I am working on my portfoilo , i am confused on prize ,award essay part, can you give me some idea about it? Where can i apply as internation medical studnet? I am indian
You could join/apply for any non-training job basically FY-2 equivalent. But if you get into FY2 training job then that’s brilliant! As it’s a training post.
@@drmonishamishra I didn't know we could apply for a training post after getting GMC license. So in that case, would we still have to give the MSRA to get in core training in psychiatry..? Since we already are in a training Post?
To apply for training post in Psychiatry appearing for MSRA is the pre-requisite. Here’s a video explaining how to enter into core training in Psychiatry - ruclips.net/video/e4uwGsRmIag/видео.html
Foundation training and core training are two separate things. Please don’t confuse yourself. Just because you have entered foundation training doesn’t mean it extends to core training? Just the same way as if you enter MBBS in India doesn’t mean it extends to you entering PG automatically?
Hello. I want to ask is plab the only route to get GMC registeration? Is it possible to get GMC registeration by clearing both mrsa exam without giving plab?
MSRA exam is not for licensing. Its a step for applying for core training. You need license to be able to practice in the U.K and for that either you appear for PLAB exams, Royal college exams or take the MTI route. Hope this helps!
Hey. We do get salary during GP training - ruclips.net/video/_JBscUAZedE/видео.html I have explained pay scales in this video. Post MBBS all jobs you are paid whether it’s non training or training. Secondly, GP consultant is NOT equivalent to Medicine Consultant from India. You have IMT (Internal Medicine Training) for that in the U.K.
Mam if I leave my country and start to live in UK it means I m unpatriotic coz My country feeds me nd now when it's time to serve back to it ....I leave it 😔😔😔😔😔
If you complete your ST here and become a consultant. Yes you may return back to India and it’s recognised in India. Vice versa it doesn’t work. Indian Pg is not recognised here for you to be a consultant in U.K.
Nope. Both the exams work towards two different goals. PLAB is to attain GMC license. MSRA is to apply for core training. But to be able to apply for MSRA exam you need to have GMC license.

Is there anyway Indians can join ST1 directly in public health speciality if they have enough experience ie after MD community medicine in India?
Dear Dr. Monisha, I have completed MRCEM and planning for GMC registration.
Is it possible for me to apply for MSRA for GP??
Do I further need MRCGP?
You require MRCGP to complete GP training. MSRA is to be eligible to enter GP training.
Mam if after mbba + internship and also rural bond 2 years
Then after clearing plab then also we have to do fy1 and fy2 or directly apply to pg
You do FY2 then Apply For PG
Love from pakistan 🥰 looking forward to clear plab and work here❤❤

Could you please explain regarding the possibilities of homeopathy doctor in uk. Or are there any courses to become a medical doctor in nhs hospitals
Unfortunately, homeopathy doctors aren’t recognised by the GMC for practicing medicine in the U.K.

Does it matter what I or what the rest of the world thinks? What should matter is what you think/believe.

Then why you came here ?
Hello...
Hope u r doing well!
Mam can we come back to India after speciality training in the UK?
Well, you can go back to India even in between your training if you want to. When and why you want to leave should be up-to you.
That means after completion of speciality training we can go back to india ?
