Thanks for video. I wonder if the finish would have been better if the surface was prepared smooth, maybe fine grade wire wool or something else to give a smooth surface before application? I'm going to have a go at liquid plating...
Nushine makes both Silver Plating Solution & Maintenance Solution. You had the Maintenance solution here. You'd get a much better result with the other and it wouldn't take so much work.

MUDSWAT I have no problem with an opinion but to call me a rip off when I am not selling a thing just done a simple experiment to see if the silver playing liquid worked or if like most things on the market didn’t do what it was supposed to. I have no problem with anyone having an opinion and I have left your comment public. But you gave your opinion so I gave mine. I try and make my films to help people they are not going to be liked by everyone If you want to complain about an element of a film no problem I am putting myself out there in the public for people to have a go at. Have you considered plating pieces using electrolysis? You can build up thicker coats which will hold a while

I think it's pretty much the same as resilvering an antique clock dial with silvering powder.
IT has to be brass to do that.
I don't think silvering powder gives a high gloss shine...

Cough, cough rip off... You can replate silver items easily with a simple plating kit you can even make one yourself.
