I saw a fella get a presidential award from Clinton, when Pinetop Perkins got his award. Was travelin with Pine at the time. Is this the 94 Y.O. that you are talking about? It was around '98 (or so) ..and this guy was DANCING- on stage! He told me he was the inventor of Lindy Hop,and was introduced as the inventor.. a real angel of a man, very sharp and friendly!
How old was Frankie Manning in that interview and when he was dancing with that young gal? He could move pretty good for someone at that age. I saw him a few times, but have never seen him dance. RIP Mr. Manning.

The last bit of this actually made me cry. How wonderful to see young kids dancing with their elders and learning a fabulous dance from them.
Anytime I am down in the dumps I just watch this over and over again, recall meeting Frankie, and that makes me feel high and happy again........
