For the fade it self, for a guy who is not a barber its not bad really, I cut my hair alone ass well but I am a barber I could suggest you to start the fade a little bit lower and make the guidelines bigger that way the fade will look way better.

Long story short - my barber moved to Oz a couple months ago. He was kind of a miracle worker and helped me in my recovery from suicidal depression and PTSD, so I just don't want to ever find another one as a way of honouring what he did for me even if we're not keeping in touch anymore. I've done my own before and it'll be a challenge but sure look

First day cutting my long hair on my own and I messed up my cut. I’m going to the barber to fix it tomorrow 💀💀 I cut just a little high on one side which could be fixed by a high fade. I do have plans on cutting my hair frequently on my own.

It really is when you add it up!
I feel like you could’ve cleaned the darkness and blended the top more kntot the fade but it’s a bout a 6. But you shouldn’t go so high in the back if your going low on the sides
About a 6 thanks mate 🤣, my hair is very dark so it’s hard to blend perfectly and also I gotta go high in the back as I have a spot on my head that goes in and it makes a shadow so I gotta go above that. I know it’s not perfect lol guess when you get lots of views you get some haters
@@owenmartinkendall just my opinion Brotha. The shape was off. N you want it to go from light to dark. Not all light. But there’s no right or wrong way. As long as you like it tho 👍🏽

The fade is abrupt. It could use some spreading out for clarity. 1st guideline was a bit too high in my opinion. You have the idea and steps down. Keep it up buddy! Still clean and fresh.

Sometimes we have no choice but to spend money on things we can't do.. This is one of the examples.. If you need a proper haircut then you need to go to a good barber.. If not, then do it like this at home.
