the narrative of a toilet girl who cannot break free from (because she's a toilet bolted to the bathroom floor -- a metaphor for her toxic relationship) is so powerful it brings me to tears. "there’s nothing at all inside of me" describes how spent she feels by this relationship but also how the relationship itself is no longer active anymore but shes still unable to move on. very sad stuff

Unironically a banger. 10/10 perfect parody of all the classic Deco27 bits we've come to expect (love them or not) : opening with the chorus as the instrumental builds, nonsensical "gross" metaphors (poison, rust, blood etc) that always come back to love somehow, that second verse calling itself out... Brilliant.
Also very amused by the fact that one of the Deco27 songs I enjoy the most, We The Hostages, prominently features a toilet in the MV... though of course it doesn't look as elegant as this video's ^^
I cant believe breadbox has resorted to reuploading Deco27 songs. At least it was the best on his album and not his lesser known hit piss girl.

@@Dokuzu_F You probably think they're the same because of the same BPM and similar tuning, as well as both choruses being in A major. But they actually do sound pretty different when you get to know them well.
Lmao. I don't mind DECO*27 going more pop and sticking to what already works but the older stuff like Aimai Elegy and Mozaik Role are what I'm truly fond of.

This is genuinely really impressive. It’s silly, yes, but to be able to recreate Deco*27’s style- analyzing the specific beats and tropes in all his songs to put into something that sounds like it could be his music is seriously awesome. And simultaneously parodying how repetitive deco’s songs sound, throwing out a toilet song that, if I wasn’t listening to the lyrics/ if it was in Japanese, I would’ve probably thought it was one of his recent songs that I just couldn’t place the name of it.
“When will you wake up and see you’re stuck in a daze?” made me laugh. Of course it all comes back to Kagepro.
I find it ironic how many people see modern DECO*27 as the MANNEQUIN album and while it kinda remains that way and probably will for a while I think it’s both the result of him having to become as marketable as possible to keep that place being the face of the Vocaloid community as well as nobody caring about his last rock-heavy style album Undead Alice (which was so good like wth).
It's because all of the songs with a bunch of views are from Vocaloid consumers, not his actual fans. But he misinterprets it as what his fans want. Blue Planet is an absolutely beautiful song with a great meaning. (its Deco''s response to Hachi's Sand Planet) I don't like the tuning personally but even then, it's so beautiful. And it got a fraction of the views of Rabbit Hole which is about FUCKIJG BDSM SEX

I personally don't think they sound the same. That was more of a thing back in some of his 2009 works. I think its just that he's trying too hard to pander to western audiences nowadays. Listen to something like "Egomama" from 2012. It sounds like he's just making music for the sake of making it. But now Deco makes music for other singers and other companies and it feels like he's forgetting about HIMSELF. Yk?
A lot of his songs from 2009 do also fall under the same criticism as modern DECO*27 and people really forget to acknowledge that but it doesn’t automatically make them bad. I also think he can’t really have that freedom of making songs for himself anymore due to intense fame/marketability sort of like the situation with Hachi during his Vocaloid days.
