I totally disagree with Mr. Prabhakar, BJP's alone vote share would be somewhere around 32 - 35 % and with a slight dip in seats when compared with 2019 GE, they'll easily form a government with the help of their alliance partners taking the NDA tally to somewhat 290 - 300 seats.

My take on this. At the announcement the BJP was struggling to reach their present tally of 300 and some change. The 400 par was to divert this reality. As the election went on it started a slide and that too on a very slippery slopes. Now on culmination they will struggle to get even 150. Thus proving Rahul Gandhi right one more time. The free media kept talking that this 400 par was a diversion and still played into the BJP narrative by still discussing this topic. Whereas the discussion should have started from 300 and then the the slide.
