- Now that I have moved to Northern Utah, I am looking for some new trails to take my 80 series on. Unfortunately, winter has closed down anywhere that might have a cool trail. Ride along with me as I continue am disappointed by road blocks.
that american fork canyon is extreamly dangerous in the winter. in the summer it is sketchy but in the winter you wouldn't have a chance in making it around the loop. for sure pick a summer day that isnt too busy and go up and around to provo canyon it is amazingly beautiful.
Probably best it's closed in the winter then. I've heard that it is extremely beautiful; I'm looking forward to this summer when I can see it!
I used to live in Arizona, that's how it is out there. Point in any directions and you'll find offroading. Can't wait to go back. Currently live in Minnesota.
It's hard to move from something like that. I love Arizona, it's amazing how diverse that state is and no one knows it haha.
I live in Utah and just got a Land Cruiser. We should hit some trails. You ever been to 5 mile pass?
I've never been, but I have heard good things about it. I believe that's pretty close to Little Moab as well. I bet those trails would be an absolute blast. What cruiser did you pick up?
I live right by 5 mile in eagle mountain. its a great place lots of off roading out there. easy to get to as well.
for sure you gotta go west to find the free range offroading.
How do you like the lunchbox locker in the back with the selectable up front? I have an unlocked LX450 that I'm trying to figure out what kind of lockers to put in
I love the rear lunchbox, and I would absolutely recommend it. I think it was something like $200 and it took me about 2 hours to drop it in. It was a bit noisy for the first 5k miles, and it sounds a bit funny when it clicks going around the parking lot. But definitely worth while and I mostly don't even know it's in there.
As for the front selectable, even in Moab I've only used it a handful of times. It's cool, but definitely not a necessity.
