    Thank you very much. I followed your instructions and already took out my older battery and replaced with the new one.

    Thank you kindly for posting this. Got a note 10.1 coming to me soon that is on it's last legs. Hate throwing tech gear away for the want of a simple fix.

    one of the ribbons arent attaching...it's that middle one next to power cable on the right, any tips how to get it in?

      I have no experience with that myself. Just this replacement and that was all I did. If I remember correctly, they have these clips on both sides, is one of those broken?

    Can you please put a link of where you bought the new battery? thanks

      Just google for 'samsung note 10.1 battery' to find a store that will send to you. I bought it from a Dutch webshop so that is probably no use for you!

    I replaced my battery then the colors on the LCD went bad. All cables are correct and lined up but still no good. Everything was fine before battery change. Any ides?

      Sorry to hear that!
      Must be the ribbon cable that connects the display. But I can't check since I don't have the Note anymore.

    But how do I tell that my battery really needs changing?? Only problem I'm having is that it doesn't last as long as before.. Maybe half day in constant use

    • @tricks-and-tips

      With me it just went from that to worse.

    Yes, music drove me insane too, so I turned it off LOL. Where to get this blue plastic tool?

      @tricks-and-tips  5 лет назад

      Hahahaha. Sorry for that.
      It came with the battery that I bought.
      But there are these (cheap) specialist toolsets just for this.
      Just google for " phone repair screwdriver set " (I can't put links here)

      @@tricks-and-tips Thank you. I have small phillips screwdrivers, but the flat one is too thick for it. The replacement battery didn't arrive yet, maybe they will send the kit with it like you got.

    Hi I replaced the battery but now the screen is black. The home and back buttons are responsive but the screen doesnt turn on. What could be the problem? It was working before, thanks.

      Sounds like one of the cables is not attached properly.

    I made it 34 seconds before the music drive me crazy. And YES, I know I could have turned it down but I didn't want to miss any verbal information if there was any.

    I have the same tablet, it now takes 10 hrs or so to charge the battery. Is that the battery going or the charger...? Admit that the battery doesn't last as long as it did, it's probably 3 years old now.

    • @tricks-and-tips
      @tricks-and-tips  4 года назад

      Might be the cable too. I replaced the cable and the charging time improved drastically.

    I am a worse than a dummy. On my tablet the black clips are facing the other way. I copied this video and have pulled the connector off the circuit board, where one of the ribbons goes in. When switched on the screen is blank but the screen is touch sensitive as it makes noises. Ruined, due to my haste and stupidity.

    Too difficult for a dummy sorry.
