Very nice build. One tip I've seen on some other builds with filament LEDs: To keep it straight, just get a plastic straw and run the filament through it (can also use it to hide the wire running back, potentially makes wiring easier), that'll avoid that little droop you have in your build. It also helps to diffuse the individual LEDs in the filament a bit more.
Thanks 😊, and thanks for the tip/idea 👍 I’m always happy to try things that make my life easier 🤣. I’ll definitely be trying that next time I do something with this idea 👍
@@RIGMiniatures Seriously as somone who has known the game since 2nd edition and imagining what battles look like this single shot that illuminates and enemy like the Tyranid barreling towards you for fleeting second you are also seeing your death. Well sorry this video didn’t scratch that itch but… have a gander at this one Warhammer Battle Diorama | Blood Angels Vs Tyranids ruclips.net/video/FHG8vKpO4M8/видео.html if you have that hankering still 😉
Very cool. Also, as a diorama connaiseur, I applaud the decision to omitt the space marine; one of my pet peeves with dioramas is the lack of direction and focus, and anyything but the guardsmen and the tyranids would have taken attention away, ie make the diorama lose focus. Very well done.
I don’t know if this is intentional but I like it how when he says “what I have done” it plays what sounds suspiciously like the first two notes of what i’ve done.
To start with I ordered 180mm solid filaments which kept turning up broken, eventually one turned up in tact which I promptly broke with my sausage fingers 😅 which brings us to acrylic dowel… honestly I wish I knew this stuff existed a lot sooner 😆. I’m going to be trying something similar soon so if need be I’ll give it a go then 😊👍
Sculpture mold is the main ground material I used for terra forming 👍. Good luck and enjoy you build buddy. Currently working on a more tutorial based video which may or may not be helpful for yourself so keep an eye out ☺️😉👍
Fair question, I apologise that I didn’t include it, I felt like I’d spent a lot of time on the Tyranids already and didn’t want to draw out the video with me just glueing and stacking Nids. Guess I thought it wouldn’t be that interesting. I’ll correct myself in the future as I’ve got other ideas for horde army’s crashing like a wave against foes.
How come you glue the tyranids in assembly? I thought everything could just be pushed together (am new, just wondered if it's reccomended to glue or not)
At the time, I thought people wouldn’t want to see it…. I’m better now and understand that next time I do something like this people will want to see it 😅.
Hey, I get most of my lights and electrical bits from this ebay seller www.ebay.co.uk/str/electronicrepairstore Hope this helps ☺️ but mostly what your looking for is 3v-5v filament lights and this is a flexible one 👍
VGC burnt red is my jam too. I have to stop myself from using most of the time or all my models will be on the same team. How do/did you like having a 3d printer? More faffing than printing or vice versa? Edit: BTW, very nice diorama.
Haha 😂 it goes on so well and that depth ummmm *chefs kiss* 😅. Well the model cost for this diorama was half the cost of a printer which was the reason I’ve popped out to get another one with a bigger build plate I was using the Elegoo mars 3 but have now brought the elegoo Saturn S which was abit more faffing about but once there dialled in your can print forever. The biggest faff of 3D printing has been trying to self teach myself blender so in the future I can get models exactly how I want them 😅 And thank you
@@RIGMiniatures lol i was just tryna figure out from the community what the consensus is on how to pronounce "lascannon." Since i assume its based on "laser cannon" i wouldnt expect it to be pronounced LASS (like lassie) cannon, but more of LAYZ(er)Cannon. So instead of lascannon more like layzcannon. The word laser is pronounced "LAY-ZER" not "LASS-ER" so in my mind i feel it should be Layzcannon though ive seen many warhammer youtubers say it how u do so i was wondering if that was like cannon or what as well... Hope that kinda clarifies if not then oh well nevermind lmao
That light as a laser is so impressive. Well done, brother!
Thank you, it definitely turned out better then I imagined 😅👍
if it wasnt drooping so bad yeah
Should see it now 😳

Thank you ☺️, glad you liked the build 👍
Really cool composition. Definitely effectively captures feelings of anxiety and futility of shooting into an endless horde.
Thanks, and impending feeling of anxiety and futility was definitely an emotion I was trying to push 😉👍
I want to see you pile up the swarm of hormagaunts and how you glued them. It must have been a treat

I really like the diorama. Adding a frontline of three or four troopers in a trench would have made the defensive position make sense too!
That’s the lads running back to mortar troop 😅 you know it’s gone bad when mortars are now frontline 😅👍
I really look forward to these videos. Nicely done as always. I imagine a Commisar a couple of miles away issuing lasguns to the women and children.
Sorry it took so long buddy 😅 and yeah! More meat for the grinder more fodder for cannons! “Here’s your lasgun here’s your bug spray! NEXT!” 😂😂
Awesome video - clean audio, good editing and a brilliant looking Dio. Well done mate
Thanks Moose 👍👍☺️ been taking my time more recently and not sighing the editing 👍

😏 maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t 😅
My OCD kicked in when I saw that the laser wasn't completely straight xD
You should see it now! 😬
Wonderfull work.
Merci pour la vidéo.
merci, j'apprécie vraiment.
I hope that says thank you I appreciate it 😅
you should try a flamethrower night themed one too
Watch this space, somethings in the pipe line 😉
I am well aware of my insignificence looking at this masterpiece 😅
Well put guardsman, now watch the left flank I think I see more coming ☺️😅. Thanks mental ☺️
Those guardsmen are about to get MUTTED.
They certainly are! 😂
can you use an acrylic dowel instead to avoid the slack?

What material did you use to build the ground? im thinking of making a similar diorama and i love the look of that ground stuff you used.

@@RIGMiniatures thanks bro, appreciate the help.
The part we wanted to see the most was building the Tyranid mass, and absolutely none of that was included? Why
Love it. My only criticism is there aren't enough guns on the line.
There probably was 😉 😅
How come you glue the tyranids in assembly? I thought everything could just be pushed together (am new, just wondered if it's reccomended to glue or not)
It could of been easier to paint them first then assemble but, honestly it’s all just a preference on assembly and painting
I loved this I'm just disappointed I didn't get to see the nids placed
At the time, I thought people wouldn’t want to see it…. I’m better now and understand that next time I do something like this people will want to see it 😅.

Its a shame you didnt show how the tyranids were arranged. Great work though
I’ve learnt my lesson 😅
pretty crooked laser
I’d say more of a slight sag to it then crooked?
I think you’ve got pretty crooked eyes mate
They're
Haha 😂 dyslexic thanks
I’ll be honest. I don’t like the beam.
So everyone keeps telling me
Ok.. is it LAZZ cannon or LAYZ? cannon. Its not a las-sir but lay-zer. So if its a lay-zer cannon wouldn't it be pronounced LAYZcannon.
This broke my brain! 🤣 I think it’s just curious 😅

I think I’m following your tracks 😅, I’m gonna agree… I think that’s my final answer 🤣
The troops placement was odd (they would never be placed so close to each other in real combat), but overall the diorama looks striking.
this is not real combat tho...
Yeah… I’m wasn’t sure how to do 40m apart in an inverted V with a 25m aiming post in that small of a space but as mentioned it still looks striking 😅
