GOOD! These holdouts need to get on board so we can get our beaches back! Their stubborn stupidity will cost ALL of us - and we depend on these beaches for tourism dollars. I'm GLAD the Army Corp didn't budge on this. If they did, no one would sign. It's necessary, people, get over yourselves.
Oh for Gods sake. The Army Corp is coming in, at no cost to them, to renourish their damn beaches for their benefit - their health, safety and continued enjoyment (and profit) and they don’t want to give them access for continued maintenance? The Corp of Engineers won’t be coming back for beach parties. Screw them. Let them renourish their own damn beaches and send the Corp elsewhere to help grateful non self-absorbed people who will appreciate the government’s offer of free help to restore and maintain valued properties.
@@hoppas77 why don't the beach property owners pay for their own renourishment projects? Are they entitled to a perpetual handout and discounted insurance, too?
They should have never been allowed to build on the beach is like that that is a bunch of bullshit. It’s a smack in the face to the people who live in Florida. You don’t get to on the beach
It's about beach access property versus beachfront property.
please post a link so we can read the document. Thank you.
wait long enough & the homes will be gone too
Isn't there a risk to living near water?
So what is it the homeowners have to give up, to sign up for this? You don't get something for free from federal or county gov't.
You get beach renourishment for free. Perhaps they should pay for it on their own.
@@sentientflower7891except it benefits our whole metro area economy
@@mattahmann that's too bad for you, then, because you will also lose your economy, too.

The government seems to be ridiculous here. They don’t actually need 100% of property owners to sign on.
Wow that last storm really took a lot of sand i used to metal detect every day there was never like that
I don’t blame the property owners. They don’t want to give up their rights of their property. No one would want to.

The Gulf of Mexico already claims all those properties and it won't ask permission.
@@mjdelaney1 Why are you so angry? What beach in Pinellas do you live on?
I agree!

Army Corp needs to build the jetty at John's pass to slow it down.
Im confused. Why does this involve the Army Corp?
@@hoppas77 idk bc they would be the ones to do it and would help with the funding of it.
Riprap rock em. It holds up better than sand and keeps those pesky tourist out of your yard. All way glad to help.
