- This week I am showing a very honest look at my first week abroad. I have been planning this trip for almost two years so the fact that it is here now is so strange! The first week had many ups and downs but all in all it was a new life experience which is exactly what I have been looking for!
Edinburgh is such a beautiful city and hopefully next week I can show you guys what school looks like!

i relate to this so hard, im studying abroad in germany and the first two days i was ready to call it quits and believed it to be the worst mistake ever

same, 4th day in the US as a one semester exchange student and had so many regrets and keep thinking about home…
I loved this! I was hoping everything would turn out well for you - and by the end of the week it just about had. I laughed at the "it went well" then the grimace! You have a great personality/style for making videos like this.
Ive baan in college for like 3 months and i just came back to hostel after visiting home for a week and now i am feeling more homesick than ive been in those first 3 months and i dont even know how this is possible. Im so homesick and i just wanna go home but i cant im literally going insane rn.

Dear Katie, well first of all Welcome to Scotland! I know this video was posted 8 months ago, but I loved listening to your first impressions of study abroad and also my country ❤️❤️ I sincerely wish you’re still having a good time.
I would love to hear an updated version of your experience, firstly because I’m about to go study abroad myself and I’m so unsure of what to expect! It’s such a huge decision it’s almost not clicked yet.
And secondly, because I’m Scottish myself and I live about an hour away from Edinburgh. Wishing you all the best 🥰

Oh man. So much of this brings memories back. My first trip to Edinburgh, I left on a Friday, after a full day of work. I landed in London after an overnight flight and took a train up. Got in at about 6PM there (1PM my time) after waking up at 6AM the day before for work, and having only eaten a sandwich at Kings Cross.
Moving to Edinburgh 8 months later, I took the scenic route and stopped in Reykjavik and London. Thankfully a friend came with me and helped me with all my luggage (2 years there). I'm hoping to go back next year for 2 years again!
im so glad you made this bc im going abroad to paris and this video is so realistic ter light hearted. i feel like a lot of the other ones are either super idealized or supr sad hahah

I'm going to Edinburgh this October, and I'm really stressed out. I'm finishing my 2 years studying in Japan, which was my first time living alone too. I made so many friends, but I'm scared of starting over all over again. I'm worried about so many things, but watching your videos makes me feel like I'm not alone

This makes me nervous and excited at the same time! In abt 4 months I'm leaving for Scotland (Glasgow) from the US to study for a semester there! I'm mostly excited and not as worried since my parents are gonna fly with me there (ik still a wimp 😂) but idc!!
