u can tell the actor standins when its a old item most likley from a museam across the state
Nobody keeps thing like that in their garage.
I just checked my garage... Just found a old beer can.
Thanks for that ... I’m chuckling out loud.
0.45 cents take it or leave it hahaha
@@brandoranger8175 You mind if I call my drinking buddy first? He a expert.
I found an old degraded lime the other day.
How old??? I know a guy who can check it out. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
See how Rick didn't call in the experts, cuz if he did he would have to pay him five figure for sure....
Yeah man. Dude got scammed.. poor guy.
But the guy shouldn't be selling them if he lowballs so much
The payouts are all scripted before hand.
@@mannyserrano5552 you don't even know how much they are worth lmao.
Pity guy..got scammed
The old man would say, a sucker is born every minute
Rip old man, he and rick are from a small town in NC where I’m from, Lexington. Just thought that was interesting.
R. I. P
Especially this generation
LOL hypes the guy up with six figures then offers him 3500 oof.
💀👌
At that point, either Rick honestly thinks he can get it for that. Or the producers wanted some outrageous counter offer for the “drama” factor
That's a far cry from even his $20k asking price. Totally a gut punch.
The "found in the garage" part is what got my attention. The fact that Rick didn't blink tells me that this entire transaction was prearranged and probably rehearsed. He would never have handed over $5K on an item that could well have been stolen.
they're used to shady situations, stolen was probably more where they were orignally found. just my opinion. Of course they got stole again at pawnstars LOL
Agree!! This stoner smells of more than pot
You do know that this is TV show, right?
@@kimbersal1 Not until you revealed it, K1.
The producers gave an interview after the show took off, when all the geniuses were saying it had to all be fake. The negotiations are 100% real. The only part of the show that is. The rest is all scripted, it has to be to be organized. In the store people come in with interesting items, employees pass them off to producers if they are interested in being on the show, producers vet the prospect, if the producers are satisficed they are genuine ( and not just trying to get on TV) then send the person off with an assigned day to come back to the studio they built to tape negotiations. The producers then research the item for background and history the fans like so much, and a script is written, (not always needed they know their stuff). If an expert is needed they alert the experts with info needed so they can research if needed. before they show up. The experts are real, they don't get paid they do it for exposure for their own businesses. The people in the background (extras) are real patrons from the store, they are asked to be extras on the taping days. Everyone is told when to show up. They are all real, no actors, and the negotiation is 100 real. They needed some banter to round it out, and as 'our guys aren't actors who can adlib' they hired writers for the little round about's they do. Chum was elected to be the (writer scripted) goof ball because he looked the part, the old man the grump.
At first thought Rick got humble, resolved for first time and pay 100000 but MY mind STRUGGLING HOW, proved at end it's OLD RICK AGAIN!
He sold that pair of colts for 95,500$
Random-shiz fr bro I was acc on ricks side until I saw this
The experts they call are played to lie in ricks favor. That's why I loathe pawn shops. All crooks !
I doubt ur mind STRUGGLED as much as mine did trying to read ur comment 🤯
It was funny watching the drool coming out of his mouth when he sed hundred thousand dollars
his face when Rick said over 100k was priceless. also his comment to Oldman, "can you get him to offer more ?" was ridiculously funny.
Nah his face is the same. No shock at all. Bro fake asf in acting
He looks like he's baked.....
I dont like pawnstar but averytime lol and give low price so lolll....
The whole good cop bad cop dynamic between Rick and the Old Man never fails
The seller never claimed the pistols were a matched set. They were very beautifully and ornately engraved. Considering their condition and age, I think he could have got a lot more for them than $5k.
Considering the fact he "found" them while cleaning the garage of his new place he's lucky to get 5k.
@@ajc1482 yeah, he found the m alright..lmao
Rick's point was, if they were factory engraved the numbers would have been a lot closer.
I definitely would have gotten another appraisal or two
It's fake negotiations!!!!
It's no more fake than watching a period drama. Is that fake?
Locutus it's CEE...GEEE...👀
@Mike Lol, uh no they're not. Original Colts are some of the highest bidding items at auction.
I have no idea why anyone would take something like these pistols to a pawn shop. Post them online, put them up for auction.
Rick really screwed him he’s probably going to sell them for 40K
I heard they sold for 75k
i wouldn't take it to the pawn shop
Dude it’s a TV show! They get paid additional for being on the show.
Ric always screw people of color and unattractive women
@@chocolatehorse8860 facts people forget it's t.v.
I would have just kept the pair of Colts, personally.
you're rich enough to

@@user-cs3zs6jn1d well thing is the stories behind the items are real, but they have paid actors to reenact.
I for sure thought the same thing, he for sure stole those

"I found them in my garage" because "they fell off a truck" is too obvious.
Found them in somebody’s garage.
@@s0la.scr1pturaFound a smell that came from inside me when I heard the easy $100,000 come from Rick
"I just found them in my garage" = "I stole them"
That's exactly what i immediately thought, or that are reproductions. They are in too good condition to be "found" in a garage.
It could also mean he found them in his garage.
@@kerrp8475 why? Because he's South American?
@@kerrp8475 I would imagine if he stole them, they would have been reported as missing, and when they turned up at a reputable pawn shop, who would undoubtedly do their due diligence, it would have come to the attention of law enforcement.
@@jeffthomas3707 You sound like a helpless person tbh.
Customer: I want $20,000
Rick: These are actually worth $100,000, but best I can do is $5000
Customer: Okay sounds good
😲😲😲😲😲😲
Lol... Watch again without the hallucinogens.
That’s why you don’t sell nice things at pawn shops. You get the valued and put in the correct place for the right people to see them.
Well you know... he has to frame it then put it out on the shelf and He has to take all the risk. Lmao.

Rick: these are worth 100k if they're factory engraved. But they're not.
When he said he found them in the garage he forgot to mention he found them in somebody else's garage.
Ahahahahah
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. He really couldn’t have came up with a better answer? Lol
Be funny if the true owner See's this ....
People find things in their garage.
Yeah, just moved and found them in the garage. In other words, whoever lived there before, forgot about them and now he's cashing them in ASAP, before they figure it out. Doesn't sound dodgy at all mate...
I would have contacted Colt manufacturing or colt expert before hand to see if they had a record of serial numbers or archives and if this motif was used during that time. These could actually be worth 6 figures.
It’s says they are in the description
just found them in the garage
...
when I open our garage I find spider webs
Remember, spider poison is also people poison.
i think they're called webs
@@Frank75288 fixed it there you go
In Australia (where I am from) you find the spider too and its 3 foot tall.

This guy actually asked the old man if he could get rick to offer more $... the balls on this man
The Guy didn't know anything about the Old Man or he wouldn't of did that!
@@kickit59 he thought the old man would be more kinder and sympathetic to the young customer
The old man was still in the 60's when it came to price negotiations.
You know Rick finesses someone if he doesn't call an expert
That’s so sad. I would’ve loved to keep those pistols. I hate to see people sell pieces like this. Genuinely hurt, especially for $5K.
I couldn't agree more on way i would be selling them
He "found" them ...
When I moved into the house I bought, I found 10 bags of gold coins, 3 Monets, a Rembrandt self portrait, a Stradivarius and a stack of Gutenberg bibles just sitting there in the garage collecting dust! LOL!!!
So thats where i left them !....can i have them back please ...😃
"I just searched my garage."
"Who's garage?"
Those colts were stolen twice 😂
👍😂😂
No way he found these in his garage.
Moral of the story: don't go on pawn stars baked out of your box
"i just moved here and found them in my garage, and they are just collecting dust". and rick bought them. omg, i can't stop laughing.
1:42 When the edibles hit you and you enter another dimension
Is the internet not available in Vegas? Rarely do I seem someone who's done all their homework. Why are you walking into a pawn shop with a blindfold on? You need to walk in their with plenty of ammunition so you can get what it's worth instead of getting fleeced.
@laser325 Script them with at least 1 brain cell.
@Some smug fish That is what keeps them away from auction houses and that's understandable but darnit, do SOME research before walking in.
@@bobbycratchet3958 Even if they're worth 20k he'd probably get around 9.5-12k at most. It's a pawn shop
The show is fake
He either stole them and rick knew it so he took advantage or it’s fake
I’m missing some colt revolvers out of my garage...... 🧐
If i had that kind of money laying around lll pay someone to take shots at people trying to rob me just pay him to sit in the attic all day
Me too!!!
If you store pieces of history like that, you deserve to lose them
This part of the episode really hit close to home. I use to owe a pair of Colt Army Revolvers myself that were in terrible condition. I first came across the pair back in 69 when a buddy of mine lost a bet against me and didn’t have the money to pay me back unfortunately so he gave me these beauties. I spent many a years restoring them to the best of my abilities and had them engraved with some type of floral pattern that my wife loved dearly. Eventually they looked almost as good as new and I was proud of my work and the amount of time I put into it. Unfortunately, I had no clue where the pair are at now. Last I remember I went up in the attic and placed them with all the other junk up there. I guess they got misplaced or something after the moving process was finally over.
if you do find them, fancy a game of poker? 😁
Hahahha loser!
"Found in my garage" translate to "They are stolen".
Me to my car: please start.
My car: *Rick's laugh*
your car: "Best I can do is 2 clicks, and rattle the .50 in your middle console. and I'm takin all the risk here."
This joke was funny...
When I first read it 5 years ago
@@mikebutler4189 best i can do is a 6 year old joke, and i'm takin all the risk.
Personally I would keep them , these beautiful firearms would never leave the family . If they were to be sold a high end auction house could get drawn a much higher price!
There are people out there that are broke and they can't just sit on things that can bring them Instant Cash. Basically why pawn shops even exist
@Joe Smokin exactly man the vulnerable weak and disadvantaged sre taken for a ride at every level of society and its not always their fault either (as many would like you to beleive)
You can tell they're not an orginal cased set, the there were no accouterments in the case. Colt percussion revolvers came with a bullet mold, powder flask, bullets, caps, and tools. A cased set would have these things twice over.
"Let me call your buddy for you. I'd rather get your expert's appraisal."
“I found them in a box in my new house.”
“…….sounds plausible to me…”
Yeah I am doubtful of the tale
The ol man and Rick tag teaming for a sale. 😊 10/10 for acting. The ol man was salivating during the whole sale : he would have gone to $10k
Usually in this kind of situation Rick calls for back up (experts).
Expert: i would value the piece at 100 grand
Rick: "best i can do is a 2 grand"
That Kid does not appreciate the beauty that is the Colt Army Revolver. I would have taken it to a professional appraiser to determine their value as a set and then held on to them until the value sky rockets because of how rare original ones are.
I couldn’t agree more
I personally would have just kept them and got them back to firing condition. I'd do anything for a beautiful set of Colt 1860 Armies.
people are stupid or they just want to appear on tv. I'd never walk into any pawn. I know they will offer nothing for anything.
He wanted cash as fast as he could get it
"I have to buy bullets and get then framed, you know"

Just found them in the garage... (not my garage)
Anyone who would keep genuine first generation Colt 1860 armies in their garage deserves to lose them, they're an amazing piece of history.
This is one where I wish he woulda brought in an appraiser, before or after buying just to see what the retail is on those.
They were actually worth 20k
I would be suspicious of that explanation lol it's a possibility but I would ask a lot more questions lol
What explanation?
amazing find, never saw pistols like this before
Being stoned and trying to sell you colts dirt cheap 🤣
He could have bought 10 new motorcycles if he took it to auction 🤣
Sometimes when I’m bored I like to go search for rare items in my garage too. Just to see what I come up with.
He just wanted to get high again. 😂 give him his 20k

How did Rick know that union soldiers didn't like flowers?
Because that was back when men were men.
They like pushing up daisies.
Rick raising people's heart rates just to shoot them down. No pun intended
When they don’t call an expert run to the hills
That look in the Old Mans eye looking @3:06 when he looks at Rick sideways and says" When it's all said and done Son, what are we going to pay for them " is priceless.- Rick: 35 hundred.
Would have loved to have known the history and value of these.
Hope he enjoys the free motorbike 😉
The Colt cylinders were "roll engraved" between 2 rollers to emboss the image, it was to prevent counterfeiting,
The ones you're looking for are left and right handed officer's issue with consecutive serial numbers.
The Command and Conquer is strong with this one :)
Just because it's a pawnshop doesn't necessarily mean they're out to rip you off
