Niiiiiice ! Thank you so much for doing Insomnium :) Could you check out some older songs but pure beauty "In the halls of awaiting", "In the groves of death"
Insomnium - The River Insomnium - The Killjoy Insomnium - Drawn to Black Insomnium - At the Gates of Sleep Insomnium - In the Groves of Death My all-time favourites.
ravenwda007 Winter's Gate is nice. But I'm more of a fan of pre-Vanhala Insomnium. I love their earlier albums more. Till 'Across the Dark' that is. After that album, I felt that their lyrical quality declined a bit in 'One for Sorrow'. The music was good though. After that, with 'Shadows of the Dying Sun' Markus Vanhala came in for Ville Vänni who left the band. Then they began to sound different. It's not that I don't like their new sound. Just that I have a sense of nostalgia towards their earlier sound. I do welcome the new change and all. But I have an emotional attachment to their earlier sound. Winter's Gate picked up with its lyrical quality. It blends with the new sound well. But their old sound was remarkable. Maybe because I'm too attached to their old sound.
ravenwda007 Oh I love 'Across the Dark'. It has some good songs like 'The Lay of Autumn', 'Against the Stream' and 'Where the Last Wave Broke'. But I love every song in it. It's hard to hate any of their songs. Their sound has that melancholic touch which keeps you hooked.
Easter Mental I just got introduced to them with War Eternal and Will to Power. My favourites are Time is Black, First Day in Hell, You Will Know my Name, A Fight I Must Win.... ....ok then they’re all my favourites. Insomnium is far more epic and I enjoy more.
Insomnium is indeed a great band with many epic songs. I know I requested this earlier, but tenacious as I am, I'll ask you again to react to Bloodred Hourglass. :) Please react to either of these: Bloodred Hourglass - Valkyrie Bloodred Hourglass - Where The Sinners Crawl You can thank me later. ;)
So it seems, I wonder how I could've missed it!? But yeah, Where The Sinners Crawl is also a fantastic song that needs reacting. :) Heading to watch the Valkyrie reaction now.
Start playing the game My Summer Car :p You'll learn more about cars, drinking, smoking and the Finnish language ;) haha You should check out Lord - Set In Stone for some melodic Australian metal
They have created so many masterpieces.
Another gem by Insomnium, those guitars are amazing. And lyrics too, Nilo Seevanen is a poet. What a fantastic band!

I just bought Across the Dark and it’s amazing. I like it more than Shadows of the Dying Sun so I agree there.

Only song of the album I don't love with a fiery passion. Probably why it's just a bonus track.

Seems like alot of people are reacting to Insomnium. Good band and all, just wanna see some more obscure bands reacted to. Anyway, good reaction.

Drop Z: Spilling the Tea I know they are. Just like seeing the little guys get some recognition as well.
