In my recomendations to, i guess it should be even though i am not subbed to them. im from limerick ireland thats laural hill irish school in my city there is an laural hill enlish school too.
Hi from Ukraine. You have just taken my breath away. Irish language is so incredible. And that voice, that unity. Revive your languge, revive your identity. Go on the same way. I really appreciate your work
I understand this as a 6th class student who is in a choir since 2nd class,it is very hard to stand still and straight for that long but as soon as you get more experience it comes naturally and then you learn to just take it in your stride and enjoy it! xx ❤️ especially singing in Irish is hard though so fair play, really not the students fault more so the teachers or whoever is conducting the choir. Stunning sound though!❤️
99% of people speak English as their first language. You only really hear it in schools where it’s a compulsory subject and in small Irish-only speaking areas. Still though all sign posts etc are in both Irish and english
I translated this myself before Christmas Mass and was at competitions and was on the radio singing it and now I'm sad I didn't post my version before these girls☹️
Who else sung the song in English while they were singing in Irish. Only because I listened to the song so much I can tell which part they are at by just listening to the instruments
The diversity in this school is shocking, come on Ireland! As a Irish girl myself I can say my school is full of Black Irish ladies and lads but this wow
Wickedwill Agreed. Singing in a choir is hard I am 12 and I have sang in a choir since I was 8 and trust me standing for a duration of at least 30 minutes....I have witnessed people around me vomiting, passing out and even falling off the altar (we perform in the church)😂I am from the same county as Laurel Hill and I don’t have a clue how long they have sang as a choir but I don’t think it has been long as after a long time of singing you just learn to feel it and not even a slight but of emotion here.❤️great singing though!😂
My Irish teacher is the one who translated the song for us to sing. He didn't directly translate it. In the chorus the word 'bhris' (pronounced vrish) is the Irish for break. It's about a junior who's being bullied. She's talking to a senior who used to be bullied. The senior is telling her not to break because of the bullies
@@khriezzzz6170 Well this isn't actually the school choir. These are the 2nd and 5th year students. I think the only girls in the choir out of the girls in the video are the music students. And no, you can't see me unfortunately
It was absolutely fantastic but as a student u can tell by the girls faces that absolutely none of them wanted to be there
I know right one girl 😂😂
