Always a pleasure to go along with you in the lovely little Mazda. I'm planning on buying one myself and so nice to get acquainted with this little jewel. I also enjoy the coffee-breaks- absolutely necessary. I look forward to many more such videos. Cheers Matthias!
Hello Matthias. Homura in Machine Grey. While I think red is a brilliant color on this car, I've decided to go with something different from most and yet a color I still like very much. First I must sell my current sports car (1996 993 coupe Polar Silver). I need a car I can enjoy everyday and not worry about putting too many Km on it. Of course the car must be a great handling machine- the MX5 seems to fit the bill! Cheers.
Watching this in bed on a sunny Sunday morning. My new MX5 sport tech roadster in machine grey waiting for me to get up and take her for a twisty drive! What exhaust did you fit? Great vid thanks.
Hi Tim, thank you! I have the Friedrich Motorsport Group A cat back exhaust. You find the video how I got the exhaust installed on my channel aswell… I wish you a nice Sunday Drive 😃👍🏻
I have read that while in Luxembourg it’s even stricter on this topic, have you have any issues with the police while filming you driving from the inside of the car? Allegedly in Luxembourg we can’t film public roads since we may film “uncounsented” people. I thought that in Germany is pretty much the same, but lighter
I think this really depends on the owner and his or hers intentions. The factory car is far from perfect imo. So I 100% agree it needs a coilover kit and spacers aswell to give it an even better and meaner look and stance. So if this is your dream car or at least you plan to drive it a long time, I would do this. In my case I sold my Porsche GT4 and bought the MX5 to save money in the short term. I want to buy a better car as soon as I have the money hopefully in the near future. So when I bought the car I knew I would need coilovers, spacers or other rims, and an exhaust. But I did not want to spend any additional money on this car. After two weeks ownership though I realized that I really could not resist to get at least an exhaust system 😇🤷♀️. You see, I‘m saving money for the next Porsche, or whatever…
@@matthiasonadventures Interresting, didn't know that you want to switch your car again. I also own a ND with coilovers but always dream about a (nonsporty) Mercedes SL.
S001 is actually not a good option. Ok in dry, dangerously bad in wet conditions. Mps4 or 5, potenza sport, Eagle F1, Continental Sport Contact all better depending on personal preferences
Comparing a non-UHP tire with UHP tires is like comparing apples with oranges. As I said my first choice would have been the MPS4S which I love. But it wasn‘t available in that size. So I decided to keep the S001 factory tires as their in comparison relatively low grip levels fit the chassis and power of the car very well imo. For sure the car would do better lap times on an UHP tire. But I‘m pretty sure it is actually more fun to drive the MX5 on the S001 with a lower grip level. And if you know how to drive it is still plenty fast enough to completely destroy most Porsches or Motorbikes in the real world… 😉👍🏻 PS: I do not have any issues with the wet grip of the S001. Goes sideways if you want to. But still well enough grip for fast cornering and hard braking. Btw, I just did 10.000 km in my MX5 with the S001 driving every day in dry and wet. My I ask how many kilometers you did recently in an MX5 ND on S001 tires?
@@matthiasonadventures about 25000km. No offense, Just a friendly Tip for the next tire choice. If you like to play around and dont upgrade suspension they are fine. Just way better options out there to keep up with Porsche 😁

Hi Foss, thank you very much for your praise! I appreciate! Which spec are you planning to buy?

Great video. I like the Continental ECS. I’m running aftermarket rims and 225/40/17 and very pleased with the level of grip.
Thank you 😃👍🏻

Which is more fun, your Miata or the GT4?
The GT4 was a lot more fun for sure! It‘s hard to quantify but I‘d say the GT4 was about 10x the fun of the Miata. Imho at least.

Never had any problems. I hope it stays like this. As I never insult others imo it should be ok
The nd definitely needs a coilover kit. What do you think about that?

Ok thank you! I know that there are a lot grippier tyres out there. And same same, no offense aswell from my side. Just asking… 😉👍🏻
