  • In Uganda, an innovative stove that uses lava rocks for cleaner cooking provides a green alternative to burning charcoal, which has resulted in the loss of two thirds of Uganda's forest cover since the late 1990s.

    Scale it up lady....expand it to all of Africa 👍. You can save health of numerous women & anything around 60%-70% saving in energy consumption is an incredible achievement. Africa & Asia needs conscious inventors & entrepreneurs like you.

    The stones do not cook.it is the charcoal dust and it is expensive. Also the battery needs improvement.it is not worth the money you buy it.

      Can you explain how that stove work?
      That stone can burning like charcoal or charcoal just heat that stone ?

    When the rock burns depending on the chemical compounds in it, it might generate invisible poisonous gases that can cause respiratory issues.

    Why don't they use propane or LPG or LNG cylinders???? Lot of Asian Countries have switched from wood/coal to the cylinders with help of their government. African countries has oil/gas reserves so it would be even easier for African counties to switch to cylinders.

      A 6kg cylinder costs 10usd;extrapolate that to people living with less than 1usd a day...mind you;acquiring a set is north of 50usd.Far beyond reach!

    I am surprised that lot of these Africans wear Western clothes.... Because most other times, you see these people wearing traditional African clothes, such us thongs, yeah, even men... LOL...
