    I’m a retired RN who can’t stop worrying about you. I hope you’re giving yourself the same care you give your horses. I hope you see a back specialist who can diagnose and treat the problem. I swear by physical therapy. I have IT band issues that will never be “cured” but I do have a bunch of things I can do without resorting to pain meds that make me throw up. Naproxen or Tylenol in moderation and always with food can help. A big naproxen is what I call a special treat. Heat is great, but it has to be done right. A cold pack can reduce pain. Your back brace is only there to remind you to be careful. Voltaren is nice. I like the roll-on topicals. My mom used a soft spatula to put Bengay on her back. My dad treated his chronic back pain with brandy and beer. He would periodically see his “bone crusher” (chropractor). Point is, there are a lot of treatments. Don’t see treatment as weakness. Do for yourself what you would do for your horses: anything and everything. I can’t help caring. 💜💜💜 I won’t nag again. I’ve said my piece. 🥰

    • @artemisXsidecross
      @artemisXsidecross 5 месяцев назад +11

      I would agree good physical therapy and therapist is the best way and stay away from meds that were not listed in your comment. Strong pain meds and anti-inflammatory meds are easy to start and hard to stop and were of little help. The hardest part of chronic back injury is what to decide to do which is best for each of us. 💚

      Well I eill take over where you left off I have a very skender frame oresently very well hidden. Thst being said I too have demanded much from back and and I am paying fof it now
      Soooo
      Pretty please.
      Find a hot tub to relax out those muscles. Swimming and a sitting bicycicle just to reset equal movement on both sides. Then a very large cold pack on your back.
      Turmeric keeps inflammation down 👍🏻😉💪🏼💕
      It will improve your future
      And the longevitybof your back
      No feet no horse
      No back no CC

    • @andreabell9194
      @andreabell9194 5 месяцев назад +9

      Yes, exactly! As someone who’s suffered through (and healed) two back injuries, I am also really concerned about CC. I know she’s really tough, but….there’s nothing like a back injury to bring us to a complete stop.
      I’m worried she’s just “gutting through it”, especially now that (as far as we know) her whole livelihood is horses and RUclips. But she’s so young, compared to me at least. There should be so much professional horseperson life ahead of her. But that’s potentially not going to happen if the back breaks down over time. My hope-which of course, she can feel completely free to discard-is that she get some proper diagnosis, some PT AND some help with all of the physical labor that’s so demanding.

    I changed my diet, 16 years ago changed my life. My spine is still covered in inoperable bone spurs but I don’t take meds just eat fresh homemade foods and have no pain, unless I falter from my diet.
    Anti-inflammatory diet is the only way to go. Steroids will destroy your body, it’s just a bandaid and then all the sudden you “need” spinal surgery and you aren’t riding anymore. I’m also a massage therapist for 16 years so aside from my personally journey, I see the affects of steroids everyday at work.

    I feel you Pete, I too hate the bugs!! My mare is super sensitive to flies as well and the shoofly has been a game changer for her for the last 2 summers.

    Pete is so light on his feet! You can tell he is still nervous a bit. His tells are jumpy muscle twitches, enlarged nostril breathing and excessive ear twitching. He is really trying hard to contain himself which speaks to his trust in you. Lovely horse.😊

    When I watch you on my TV I cannot hit LIKE or make any comments. I can though on my IPAD. So I just want to say I love how you take care of your horses. So interesting as I don’t know anything about horses except they are beautiful animals. I love your voice. It’s so calming. Keep up the good work.

    Pete is doing so well with your patience and no rush when dealing with his feet, I could feel the tension in him, so so nice to see him relax and lower his head in the arena, he is very light on his feet it seems effortless. Patience always gives the highest reward, I'm so pleased he's staying with you forever. He's a beautiful boy. Thankyou C.C nice to see more on Pete. ❤❤❤

    Hi Clever. Give Pete a pat from Norway, thank you. Also, remember that there are quite a number of decades left in you. When you find time to allow Pete to "jog down into a stress-free and relaxed beautiful trot in the pen", please remember we people do run a rather modern human "software" in our brains on the very ancient "hardware" we call our bodies - and this is a fact worth remembering by all of us.

    I think you’ve found your new dressage horse. Nice movement and he seems to like that saddle. It would be a calm disciplne and he looks athletic as well.

    With a horse like Pete who seems to have had a lot of past trauma, the most important thing is he trusts you to take care of him. You can trim his feet, give him wormer, spray him for flies. As long as you can take care of his health and wellbeing, riding is secondary. He doesn't need to be ridden to be happy and healthy so it doesn't matter how much or how little he gets worked. ❤

    I enjoy all the love and concideration you take to each individual horse and how you encourage them to be both brave and calm at the same time as allowing them to tell when they are out of their comfort zone and gentle help them to relax and trust you ❤
