The fiends and other enemies in this game had such an amazing way of talking and good quotes. They were actually intimidating, the sound effects were also great. Just seems like we don't get to see this too often these days.

On his 4th turn after your 4th he does the instadeath thing. And on his 8th turn after your 8th he completely restores. You killed him on your 8th. Well done.
Defeated this dude at level 55 before beating the other horsemen and mother harlot Was tough and had to replay it a couple of times since he kept healing himself But goddammit it was satisfying

How do you prevent this bastard from healing? And how come he never used Dekaja? It's the most annoying fight in the game so far...do I have to rely on the RNG gods?
It seems that he packs demons and uses stones such that whenever Trumpeter uses Ma-etc.-dyne skills someone blocks or absorbs it, wasting two of Trumpeter’s turns.
Trumpeter's Evil Melody takes out your party member that has the lowest health percentage left. And to make sure it is not the Demi fiend that takes the hit of Evil Melody, you bring out a demon with little health left as death fodder. It is basically an insurance policy to make sure you don't get a game over by Demi fiend dying from the Evil Melody attack.
@@reverendcoffinsotherson5807 And with it having 1 HP it will also be targeted by Holy Melody, stopping the boss from healing itself (it would have used this the turn it got killed, hence why Frost was brought back out)
What would be the best team to use against the Trumpeter? Seriously, I have my Demi-Fiend at level 99 (thank you easy XP DLC!) with only skills that inflict heavy damage and the best healing spell and two other Demons that have equally useful skills and are also level 99 and yet, that damn Trumpeter kills me on Turn 4 (f*ing instant death skill)...
@@kichiroumitsurugi4363 I literally just now beat him by abusing Focus+Deadly Fury and having one healer, one fodder demon to die and he revived, and then Black Rider to spam almighty attacks while my healer also lowers defense after reaching the limit of lowering Trumpeters agility. God was it hard the first few times before I just decided to go ham with three skills and have my healer multitask. Now I just need to get the Kimon Stone.
Menorah? What the heck was wrong with candelabrum..? I mean, I know they're essentially the same thing; still, seems a bit of an odd change... That aside - good fight. That was some truly meta lvl shit, summoning Jack Frost to tank the Melodies like that! Not sure I'm 100% sold on the voice acting, though... hopefully, there'll be an option to switch it back to japanese, or else just turn it off entirely. ( _No disrespect to the voice actor or anything, but, that is just NOT what I ever imagined Trumpeter sounding like..!_ )
FWIH, menorah is more accurate to the original JPN version than candelabra, but the latter was used in the original localization probably because using the former would subject them to controversy at the time.

Candelabrum is simply the term I was familiar with from playing the original... if you say it was always 'supposed' to menorah, then, guess I'll just have to take your word for it. Quick side note - I find it somewhat hilarious that Atlus were willing to go back & focus on a mostly inconsequential terminology change like that... yet, they were apparently still too lazy to fix the music. _Priorities..!_

You ideally want Endure on Demi-Fiend, and access to Debilitate so you can drop his stats and then kill him before he uses Evil Melody
