another thing about carmilla is her ult also has a slight casting delay like Belerick so enemies will cancel you a lot because you have to get close to cast it if u wanna link the enemy backline as well which can be frustrating. Which is why Atlas is so much more enjoyable. There are several reasons why Atlas is just so much better. More resilient, tanky, immune to slow and cc, quick engagement and better setting capability. His ult is instant and applies stun while carmilla is only immobilize which means the enemies can still fight back, especially if the enemy has atlas which gobbled up your entire team which wanted to follow up your ult but got ulted instead.

the problem is just that there are better choices. if carmilla just become able to sustain enough in early game and compete with other exp laners then it would be usable, but just as i said there's just much better choices

Nah, Carmilla deserves a buff right now. For some reason, they harshly nerfed her after her ult's revamp just because she became meta for 2 weeks. After that nerf, she didn't recover, and her winrate and pick rate became even lower than they were pre-revamp.
Yeah! It's really frustrating when I use charmilla and we have many cc and aoe heroes but they don't know how her ulti works so I'll always face hardship and had to explain it to them and even after that they still don't get it😂
yes, my sister and i have been running it since her buff. vex is much more comfortable to play nowadays and my sister has been maining carmilla since forever now. the best combos with carmilla are vex for cc, odette for crazy flicker followups and faramis for utility shenanigans. i usually get maniacs when we're on sync

That's only because Vexana has more AOE than Cecilion, but she'll never be able to compete with him when it comes to pure dmg. A late game Cecilion will only need about 2 slaps to kill any hero that's not a tank... And tanks can only take about 4 slaps to be at the very least low health or just dead period.
Try same with Nana now. Me playing Carmilla with my random unknown Nana teammate carried the failed team. We could win enemy team with Sun and Vexana. Our team had two mages, Nana and Aurora. So, it was so high of survival. At first, I was thinking about to pick Faramis as troll team. But, I chosed Carmilla by Chance.
Carmilla - Roam Vexana - Mid Aulus - Jungle Ixia/Melissa - Gold ? - EXP I'm still trying to find out what best hero to pair with Carmilla but it mostly depends on your teammates and how well your synergy is or how well your teammate is aware of your presence because of solo queue, it's much harder to synergy with your team because they got no awareness of what's happening even if you ping your ultimate cooldown.
Those who think carmila is good l. I encourage you to try it your self. The potential combo with her ult is game winning. However, diggie is super meta rn and that ruins it all. Not only that, carmila her self is very squishy for a tank. Her stun has far too long of a cooldown to justify her extremely weak early game. Other tanks like mino or tig has much more impactful cc on their normals skill with like half her cd and both arguably have better and more reliable ults. It is sad for me that she is one of the heroes that I see great potential in her, but she is no way near good enough, I only play her to make fun combos in classic with my body.

I tried Carmilla and I agree that she has much potential but others are just better in general. She's fun but sadly she can't tank like the others and can't be a support like the others. One time I played her and one of my teammates said, "hey, why are you building your mage like a tank!???" I laugh so hard but I can't blame him for mistaking her as a mage. I mean she really looks like one, but it would be so cool if she's as tough as the other tanks.
Carmilla is not just a great pair to vexana. She's a great pair to every damage dealers especially those with CC. She is a damage multiplier. The biggest reason why nobody uses her is that she can't be used effectively alone and she's actually very difficult to use compared to other tanks and supports.
i've been playing Carmilla and gotta say, Atlas is just better at everything. Better passive, better mobility, better ult. and much easier to pull off. The main reason why i go atlas vs carmilla and always dunk on her is because Carmilla ult is only a delayed immobilize while Atlas doesnt care if u link his entire team because he'll stun and throw your entire team airborne as well as freeze them and stun them again if his 2nd is up. My allied are only immobilized by carmilla ult while her allied are hard CC-ed. Then my mage just extends the cc and bursts them all like Vale, Vexana or other heroes like Zhong or Terizla. Pretty much theres no way out. I really like Carmilla but every time i MADE her work which was plenty enough, i just always felt stressed out because each match was TIGHT because you have: a non AoE stun (unlike atlas, johnson, belerick, khufra, grock, akai, etc.) and arent tanky at all. Another MAIN reason why carmilla is stressful to play IMO is her ult HAS a slight DELAY before casting it which means you will need to SPAM that button if you start getting cancelled because you WILL get cancelled by the more experienced enemies who know this. She has a delay in casting her ult similar to Belerick. She also cant be as immersed into enemy's face as Belerick or Hylos because shes not tanky like others. Shes almost as squishy as Franco.
I ban vexana for this reason, even without carmilla she's very annoying to deal with in rank games-her wide range, cc, damage and fast clear ability just a nightmare
The only flaw Carmilla has is that there are better roamers than her and she's not that tanky compared the Tigreal, Khufra, or Mino, the current top tanks. IMO I prefer playing her in the side lane as her sustain is more of a Fighter and she can dish good damage and can win trading blows.
Well sometimes , once in a very blue moon you get a good team that works really well even as a solo player. The synergy is all there. Very rare case though
I wish they would buff her first and second skill instead of her ultimate. Increase her regen a bit and make her shorten the cool down of her second skill

Carmilla's ult is really good but I really just can't bring myself to play her because she's so damn boring outside of valuable ults. I play mostly solo queue so even though I land 3+ man ults I'm not guaranteed
One thing I don't like is how the kill goes to Vexana even though it's Carmilla's ult that makes it happen. Maybe I'm just salty as I use Carmilla... But I also use Vexana 😂

I truly believe that EXP is where Carmilla truly shines. I use her in EXP and I can go toe to toe with any fighters.

I've done similar thing, but with Xavier. He got Maniac in just one ult. My main Carmilla is NOT to be underestimated

Am a solo carmilla main but it’s not that hard to play you need just to extremely patient and adaptable with your teammates 🤔
