One thing to keep in mind is that "conservative" and "liberal" used not to be so partisan. You had liberal Republicans (e.g., Jacob Javits) and conservative Democrats - mostly from the south. Today there are barely any. Senator Joe Manchin is the last conservative Democrat and senator Susan Collins the last liberal Republican. Both parties have moved to the extremes. How can we fix it? 1) Party primaries need to be open to all voters regardless of affiliation and 2) End gerrymandering with mandatory independent redistricting commissions; and 3) limit campaign contributions to only registered voters and with a $5k limit per person -no more corporate or union money.

As Republican Zionist who isn’t super observant, I am furious with my reform Jewish friends who are stupidly Blue.

There have been studies demonstrating that Jewish people in general hold more progressive values than non-Jewish people (perhaps, because they actually see the value in argument and in entertaining multiple points of view, which unfortunately is more than you can say for most Americans at this point). It would make sense then that secular Jews, untethered to a faith in God or a sense of value in traditionalism, would be even more progressive leaning. I think this helps explain why by and large American Jews have been solidly aligned with the Democratic party for many years and continue to be. I disagree with the notion that it is simply a matter of them going with the status quo. In fact, it would seem almost the reverse to me, that Orthodox Jews tend to consistently support the status quo, which the Republican party has come to embody, because currently at least, it is the status quo which is what aligns with more traditional values.

Respectfully, it has been at least ten years since progressives have shown interest in multiple points of view, populist progressives being the exception. And I doubt they turned out for Democrats this year.

Thank you for your comment. Maybe you are right, I am not trying to persuade anyone, I only offered an opinion.

I think Bibi deserves far more respect than he gets. For all his faults, no other Israeli leader could have guided Israel into a stronger position under the circumstances. He has been painted by the mass media, like Trump was, with the all purpose "fascist" defamation. I believe he's a hero for pursuing victory and fending off American defeatism. I pray the ceasefire bring the results we want, BH.

I think that the democrats are not the democrats from the 80’s and 90’s.

Thank you for this video. I completely disagree with many of your points about recent history, although you are absolutely spot on about Patton (a vile racist), southern democrats and Lincoln. I cherish this window into an alternate perspective and look forward to more. It's important I think to step outside our viewpoint to check our understanding from time to time. Good fortune to you

What you said about helping ones brother to your level with out any thoughts of usury or personal gain, will benefit all humans in away down the line of time. It's kinda of said By God in the written of the Bible and Quran. But...we are dealing with humans who sadly fail to hear God's Spoken.

Most Jews of US live in big cities... most of them are liberal or atheist so it is normal that they vote for Democrats . Although this time I was rather predicting their shift to Republicans but it seems that the situation in the Middle East caused that they chose not to fule the conflict with their support for Republicans who are of course very pro-Israel

    1. The Democracts have gone so far left that they endorse antisemitism. This is relatively new and a reason more Jews voted Republican this election than before.
    2. American born and raised secular Jews do not understand Antisemitism. They never really experienced it until now. Jews from the diaspora, except the US and Australia, have generally seen and experienced antisemitism personally so they were more alert to it than American Jews, until now.
    3. Jews who voted Democrat in the recent election, unfortunately are naive about the morals of the Left and ignorant of Jewish history. They don't want to comprehend that the greatest threat to Jews is from the Left, not the Right, because that's what fits the outdated narrative about who our enemies are.

Republicans want to get rid of the civil rights laws which protect American Jews from not being discriminated against for being Zionists.
