Then with the plastic forks....please make some demascus silverware.....that would be awesome
Damascuswear then ? Unless the steel is partially silver.
DAMASCUS SPORK
Just a fork demo would be helpful.
the best part of the plastic forks was the letherman and the half finished kitchen knife
@@TurokShadowBane we have a saying in my country " in a blacksmiths house wooden aparatus only" ( roughly translated) as in one who does it for a craft almost never does it for himself
Nothing to do with this post per say.
I met a young blacksmith today at the northern shooting show.
I mentioned your channel to him and it turns out he is the proud owner of your old Pilkington power hammer. It's gone to a good home and it's making him a living well played to the lad 👍
Stacey Nixon he has his own RUclips channel

Nate’s Forge on RUclips
The editing skill to sync the music with the sound of hammer blows is phenomenal and very satisfying. Very good video and a great job👍🏻
Oddly satisfying !
He must NEVER get rid of this editor, it is amazing indeed
I think Jamie still edits the videos back across the pond.
If you like that you guys should seriously check a video on my channel - r32 fast paced edit. I did the exact same thing the whole way through. I worked really hard on it, I’m trying to grow my channel too. Hopes and dreams right?
Agreed!
Alec: the thing about making your own tools is you can make them nimble.
Will: you could really slap somebody with that.
Great by-play.
Jamie is doing a fire job with these videos! Love the synch'd music and hammer hits
hehe... fire.
You should check a recently uploaded video on my channel called r32 fast paced edit. The whole video was meticulously edited to the music. I’m trying to grow my channel as well :) hopes and dreams right? It would mean the world to me 🙏🏻
@@christiantheologyunited3707 I see sir that you are also a man of class! hehe
Is Jamie still with them. I thought he stayed in the UK
He did but they are still having him edit the videos from over there. They mentioned it a few videos back.
All those camera angles. All those hammer strikes synced up with the music. All that epicness!
Walls: Covered in swords
Alec: Cutting with pocket knife
And using plastic forks lol
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed he was using a multi-tool LOL
It looked like a Leatherman.
Lets not forget Will cutting with an unfinished kitchen knife.
Speaking from experience, using a sword to cut meat is surprisingly difficult to do. You tend to make a very large mess
Forge a table, a bed, and grill tools... Eats with plastic forks and pocket knife
absolute mad lads
i got a pretty good laugh out of that as well. we need to get them to make a knife/spork
And the plastic grandma style plates :X
they def need to make a full set of Damascus utensils steak knife, butter knife, tea spoon, soup spoon, salad fork, dinner fork you get the picture
Why not with a trident and a shortsword
The music synchronization at 8:50 is amazing editing. Keep up the great work!
You haven't seen jay bates then lol
This channel never fails when it comes to syncing music with hammer hits.
Not that it fails in other areas...
I would like to say that I am blown away by the video editing on this episode. There are sequences where Alex is working on his spatula, where the video editing makes his hammer strikes match the exact rhythm of the background music.
Although I have come to expect a great deal of skill from Will, and Alex, I have apparently missed the same level of skill from the video editing (I a may admit that this is because I am more on the technical side of things). Great job Jamie.
About bloody time u made a new video
I've been worried sick lol
Almost called an amber alert

beautiful, elegant, stong spatula! you can tell Alec's a trained blacksmith. watching him forge out the handle and hook was a joy to watch
I have only two words, ...Tactical Sporks.
Will: Uses a kitchen knife as a steak knife.
Alec: Uses a pocket knife.
The sword in the background are sad.
i think my favorite part about it is that will wasn't even using a complete kitchen knife. it's a finished blade but there weren't any handle scales. he was just holding it by the tang.
Sous Vide Blacksmith Style: Big Steaks -> Ziplockbag -> Waterbucket -> Tempering oven 56 Degrees Celsius 2.5h+ -> Sear in the Forge 1sec

Barbecue? I think you mean meat forge.
This made me lol for real
@@nathan.barnes ditto
Lol nice.
Yes, I barbeque my steel and forge my steaks...
I guess if you tenderize it that kind of counts.
You need to forge some steak knives, spoons, and forks for eating the BBQ. Also a fork for the BBQ so you can flip it without removing the rub.
Was gonna suggest the time thing. Forge some forks and steak knives!
And a couple of plates
It is heartwarming to see young men becoming masters of an ancient craft. I was a traditionally apprenticed wooden shipwright when I was still in my teens. My trade is pretty much gone here and I want yours to be kept alive. Please pass those masters skills along. You must be a really strong genius to be so good at a young age. Bravo!

"Spatulate"
That word is a keeper!
Dude, I just found out it's really a word
@@samschwinghammer6892 However, it's not a verb, it's an adjective.
I don’t think enough appreciation goes into the cinematography and editing of these videos with the beat being synced and all it’s just amazing👏👌
Make damascus dice with the little dots on each side garnets! That would be sick :)
a damascus d20
I always enjoy watching you guys forge! Great way to relax after a long day’s work, watching some forging!!
Challenge:
Invite some friends over for barbacue in the evening.
Start in the morning at whatever time you want to start at, for example 6 am (you will need some time).
You‘re NOT allowed to use any kind of normal kitchen gadgets, everything you need for preparing and serving that meal has to be forged out (knifes, forks, plates, utility, maybe even cups etc.)
Will's forging has improved leaps and bounds, that is one talented and dedicated young man. Alec's forging on the other hand is like watching and artist do what he was born to do.
Just WOW guys!! Great to see you both forging again - the shop set up flows so well. Vid/aud is fantastic - really stepped it up! Love the theme too as I suspect a lot of us got our stick burners fired up recently and made some spring brisket!! side note gents - get a smoker thermo, if you're lookin' you ain't cookin'!! Keep up the great work :)
I’m so glad I was able to witness the prime time alec Steele channel it was amazing everyday waiting to see what goofy antics will and Alec got into. Been following since you had rain catching buckets next to mr. Pilkington
Will, if I may give a suggestion, a bit of fullering to the jaws of your BBQ tongs might give you a better grip.....just an idea.🤔😉👍! And, btw, nice tongs!👍
Watching you work the hammer is quite satisfying!
8:40...played it off like he didn’t about burn his finger prints off😂 good work fellas
Professional 👌
I didnt catch that the fist time. You'd think he'd know not to touch hot things lol.
The layer of dirt on his hands protected him 😂
Its a smoker bro if it was hot enough to burn him that tri tip would have been charcoal buy then
Such good idea building tools with practical use in mind and a LIVE demo of them in use. Love this format of video :D Good Willex.
Alec is spatulating all over the shop!
one of your best edited videos. we can tell a lot of attention was paid to music/sound effects/action. great job.
Oh man. I need these. We could put charcoal handles on them...
A collab between you two would be great
That would be awesome.
I just like to say boys I get a lot of inspiration from watching you boys work fail succeed and try and I loved it and thanks for bring us along for the journey
So when is Alec going to make his own barbecue pit?? That’s something everyone wants to SEE. Like this for him to notice!
Nice Smoker! I love my Traeger! You treat that thing right and she'll provide you endless plates of delicious food!

With the pocket knife to cut the meat too...

Next time, maybe.
You guys are great! I love that ya'll can solve anything with forging.
🔴I got a challenge for you 2🔴 for the next Alec vs stelter. Forge out something with your non-dominant hand
I like this idea but I do agree with @Williamcoatt that it may he a tad dangerous
Dangerous? If you work with your hands, you work with both. I think it's a great idea. And even IF it's dangerous...what's wrong with dangerous? Everyone is scared, it makes me sick. Grow a pair.
@@nearlyworthless1674 I think they should learn how to blacksmith with the both hands I think it's a good skill to learn to blacksmith with both hands
@@nearlyworthless1674 it's called muscle memory, swinging a hammer with the non-dominant hand would be far harder (and dangerous) if neither has done so with any regularity. It's not quite the same as you getting your mani/pedi from a place you've never visited before. Most normal people aren't out here trying to maim themselves to prove their masculinity.
@@fadetoblack2104 k bud. I live my life with my hands.

Loved the hand forging of the spatula.
Great job lads!! Maybe forge up some medieval style cutlery?!?!
medieval cutlery was hands, bread and a dagger.
The fancyist fork, and knife. (Like the fancy screwdriver)
I think one of the only things that was different was that the forks had two tines instead of four.
@@zeekeno823 there weren't forks they were invented in the reneissance
Because I'm a goof, I'ma need some more explanation. Are you saying that the two tined eating utensil wasn't invented till the renaissance, that the two tined eating utensil wasn't a fork, or something else. either way, this is one of those trivia things I could bring up to look like a dork at a party, so citation needed.

Alec and Will smoke a roast??
Lol. Great video guys!! 👍🏼
its a treat to see Alec hand forge stuff ... incredible !! ❤️
Also good stuff from Will ...
Shout out to Jamie man he's still getting the work done from a million miles away 👍👍👍
Rind is specifically reserved for fruit or trees, the correct term you're looking for is bark or smoke ring.
But then they would have to do a proper barbeque. Cook it for 6-8 hours at abt. 200-225 freedomheight.
@@nooneyouknowhere6148 very true.
Bacon has rind. Well, it does in England, so that's where Alex got from I presume. Definitely bark on a barbecue lump of beef though, so you're right there.
Even after what seems to have been a huge change in your business model, I still must aspire to you Alec. Success in any form in this particular craft is admirable.
I'm surprised y'all didn't put a touch mark on the roast!
It would've been awesome if Alec engraved the spatula nice and deep and used it to mark the steak
