“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
― Voltaire
His rap saying " hate in ur heart will consume u 2"
Exactly. They’re trying to make us believe in the absurd idea that America is racist, when that is far from the truth. Atrocities will be committed in order to make America racist, and then use the resulting racism as proof that their evil was legitimate the entire time.
That's religion.
Be carefull, Voltaire endorsed slavery.

“Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.” - Marcus Aurelius

One of the hardest things about being Black in America is actually having black - black skin. You know having veeeeery dark skin.
Yes - let's talk about this taboo topic, shall we.
We NEED to address COLOURISM, featurism and texturism in the Black community - especially when it affects dark-skin Black women.
The Brown Paper Bag Test is real and very evident in the entertainment world, workplaces, clubs, relationships... among our people.
We need to face this issue of self-hate.
Other races know this exists among us and see us as a big joke.
Let's fix this, and show the other races that we love, find beautiful, and appreciate our fellow very deeply melaninated brothers and (especially the) sisters before addressing white (wannabe) supremacy.
Complaining about racism whilst alienating, neglecting, discriminating against... our veeery dark skinned counterparts but always choosing light-skinned, light-coloured eyes, light-coloured hair, straight noses, smaller lips, curly - wavy - straight hair... girls and women is soooo hypocritical. ... in fact, we all know - the lighter and less black is considered better by a lot of self-hating Black people.
Oh, and a lot of dark-skin Black women are gravitating towards non-Black men because of this. ...not that (most) Black boys / men care anyway.
We want to be seen as intelligent, beautiful, ambitious, loving, caring, entrepreneurial; successful, articulate, classy, lady-like / feminine... and not just by the typical angry Black woman, who's loud, overweight, confrontational, difficult, maids, slaves, prostitutes, drug addicts...
There are gorgeous very - VERY - dark-skin women that are not really acknowledged in our community like: Lola Chuil (the Black Hannah Montana) Nyakim Gatwech, Duckie Thot, Nikki Thot... A simple Google search will show a plethora of beautiful dark-skin sisters yet we don't even give them accolades in our own community.
Yes, we can speak out against racism, etc... but it would be great if we can fix this major issue in our community first.
This should have a whole tons of replies and likes. Such a underrated comment!!!!

He'll stand up for one group's rights while calling for others to be discriminated against, in particular, non-believers. 👎
You're mischaracterizing him a bit, don't you think? I'm an atheist, and that's not what I took away from this at all. He's saying that you should not vote for anyone who is full of hate. We are all God's children and the finger pointing has an agenda behind it, we embrace our diversity, learn from our history and reach out together and pick up any whom is in need.

The exception not the norm. While I am inspired I’m also reluctant to the fact that the odds are against us in general and we must fight to change the odds if we wanna play. By recognizing the structural faults in the system we can work together to make things more equitable for everyone. Not just a select few or a lucky bunch. All of us, you included, deserve a better shot.

mhgynh I was referring to how people take a statement and add their own meaning to it. When some people hear, “Black lives matter” they interpret it to to mean only black lives matter. That is not the right interpretation. They should take the time to truly understand.
@@cl5094Nobody is against black lives matter simply for the meaning of "only black lives matter." That saying started after everyone saw their hypocrisy. They don't care about the fact black Americans aren't doing as well financially, because they haven't done a single thing to help... BLM is a political organization using angered black people as useful idiots for their goal to divide the country and completely flip the system to their desire.
The name "black lives matter" is a tactic to use empathy as a weapon.. like a "gotcha moment" if you go against their political agenda then you are against the idea "black lives matter"

That was awesome!!! I feel like one of the issues, Will, that my generation has is we were brought into a world in need of fixing and we were never taught how to fix ourselves so we walk around trying to fix our parents and grandparents etc.. Conflicts and problems. We arent taught how to find ourselves as children and for those like me who werent raised with family or by their parents its hard. Its tough knowing you have to do something and willing to take on whatever responsibility but dont know what you need to do. The main issue particularly is communication you said it too Will but we aren't taught how to put our emotions on paper to express so others can see our point of view. So when you come out here like this and say all these things and you're saying the right words we're just sitting here like, "Yes I've always thought of that but never knew how to tell people" its a great feeling because it feels like a discovery we can finally breathe knowing that from now on we have a way to express ourselves even if its just 1 thing out of the hundreds we still can't express. Yes Black Lives Matter
Thank You Will and Angela .... some will never Get It... Keep fighting the Good Fight
Yeah sorry i would never ever take BLM advice from Hollywood people. There is so much good Hollywood can do but yet they dont they just spout off at the mouth.
its like a rich person saying "money doesn't buy happiness" haha
So because they’re celebrities this puts their value lower than a normal human being..?
@@ashleyjohansson230 Oh but sometimes it takes a "rich" person to tell it. Imagine how illusive happiness is for most of us who aren't rich and THINK that's the only thing keeping us from it. But the one who makes it to the land of OZ only to find there is no wizard ?!!!! WTF?!!! That's enough to pull out the razor and slit a wrist....OR realize that there is some other kind of "inside" work to be done.
Racism lives in Hollywood too. The lack of roles that aren't stereotypical. The pay, the awards, etc, etc,. Just because someone made it to Hollywood doesn't mean that their struggle ended. Money helps, yeah we all know that, but it's apparent that you assume that they can pay their black away. The problem with this world, 1 anyway, is that we often too quickly make assumptions that hurt the overall progress of us all. Positive vibes

Please stop saying, Black Lives Matter, so our lives matter.
I like that. "Our lives matter!" and then the cops will say, "Our lives matter too!" Then everybody will march together, hug, go home and work on making their communities better by thinking about what's really needed, work hard to accomplish those goals, financed with all the money BLM has been donated and we will finally have no more violence.
Nobody said your lives don't matter. Pasta is good, doesn't mean, rice is bad. Why are you offended so easily? Try to understand.
The entire video went right over your head. Black lives don’t matter currently due to the mass amount of injustice to them specifically, so by spreading the word black lives matter is promoting people’s awareness towards black lives specifically. But what happens is when people hear black lives matter, they stop hearing, and then want to say something without listening. Its their turn right now, if you think everyone’s lives matter, then you should be standing for black lives since there is an obvious deficit for the value of their lives.

In philosophy property could never be a right, because the land it's self could not be owned by anyone. It was here before us and will be after us, so it belongs to no one. Locke did argue property is a right, because he believes if you work the land and maintain it, then it's yours till you leave. Hard to say who is right.
Will 🙌🏾🙌🏾 we really love you ❤️ thank you for all you do for our culture
Will is the real Icon.
I have been watching Fresh prince in quarantine and I don’t get tired of it
Loveless people...that’s IT right there! Stop electing them and uplifting them as golden. They suck PERIOD. Thank you Will Smith...never change. God bless and namaste🙏🏽❤️
Its not the politicians because we the people elected them.eh it's all about parenting our children not to hate and have Respect.
Raising victims because they don’t have fathers in their homes. Removing discipline same as removing fathers from the home wind up with a bunch of children that want to start at the top not the bottom and work your way up
Very astute.
white kids don't have fathers either. But that is beside the point of racial oppression.
@@mamadeebuildsahouse unless your Hunter Biden
@@mamadeebuildsahouse Statsitically, black homes have a tragic amount of single moms. But the point stands everywhere. That's WHY BLM is retarded. White kids, black kids, asian kids, everyone comes from different backgrounds of struggle. Let's empower, not attack "racism" with real racism.
MamaDee True it’s happening to whites but it’s over 70% in the black community.
This was and awesome discussion, new found respect for Will, I always thought he was corny off screen but he's very passionate about the plight of Black people, great interview.
Respect to will Smith and all the things he have give to American community!
Black lives matter !
Will is such a passionate speaker. We need more speakers like him.
We need Will Smith to run as a President
Karen Campos C. Yes we do.

Does anyone else believe that we shouldn't say that 'slavery was where we came from', but instead say that 'slavery was something we went through'?
We endured it and have made lots of progress since, but it is NOT where we came from or even how we came to be.
This was a great conversation btw.
I believes he means the way that black people was brought to the continent. If it wasnt for slavery, black people would have kept on Africa developing their own culture and history as natives from their country.
Slavery is probably the defining historical experience for Blacks in the US, which is why many will say that Blacks *came from* slavery rather than *went through* it. The mass enslavement of African persons during the 1600-1900 period in North America and its cultural legacy is never far from the minds and hearts of Blacks in the US. The story of the African American is the story of a people who have had to preserve their ancestral cultures under intense cultural and social persecution, all the while being separated physically from their ancestral homelands. At least now it is possible for African Americans to explore the culture their ancestors were forced to leave behind.
@@hananokuni2580 I think you have hit the nail on the head as to the problem we're currently facing in this nation. As long as groups of people consider themselves as other than American, but rather add another nationality to it, it will always divide us. I typically don't see a black person as "black" until they point it out to me. Have we made mistakes in the past in this country...well, yes. Have we worked to correct them...well, yes. If we never get past seeing "color" we'll never come together.
(to the general readers) Yes (for those of you who are already looking to see if I should be listened to) ,,,I'm an older "white guy". I've never owned a slave and none of you are or ever have been a slave in this country.
It's time for God's grace to be given on both sides of this equation, or we're doomed.
I respect this conversation, I don't completely agree with every conclusion they came to, but I respect them and I will respect you if you let me.
YOU didnt endure slavery,YOU weren't born yet
you didn't endure anything.
All people inspired with your movies,Puerto Rico love you
Beautiful. Love it. Salute to the transformation to love and light!
I really appreciate Will's statement; No matter the evil you come against, do not give in to lovelessness/Godlessness. You poison yourself when you circum to lovelessness/Godlessness. So very true. That is why I have hesitation in supporting BLM organization. There has been some, not all, questionable actions. I am, how ever very much in agreement. Black Lives Matter indeed. I hear you, see you and pray blessing on all that have suffered at the hand of the loveless/Godless.
that's totally respectable Charlie, don't support organizations. support ideals.
I agree, I’m very critical of the movement and organization because I want better from them
I am of the opinion that Black lives matter, but at this point i'm also of the opinion that Black Lives Matter doesn't matter. The phrase has 100% of my support, the organization who states to push for a complete dismantlement of the american way of life will never have my support. America as always been at the forefront of making important change to give people freedom and rights. The reason that has been and is true can be explained simply by going back to the belief system that the country was founded on. Everywhere will have evils in their past, America has always been the quickest and or first to look at those evils eye to eye in the mirror and correct them.
@Miguel Deer God GuD! Men Bad! Bible says flood... Science is Bible proof. Old testament is true but god changed his mind. My bias, gods truth. You suck and my butt hurts... Devil.
@Miguel DeerThat is not what Charlie said. Simply said that he believes loveless/Godlessness brings about hate and malice and he (being religious) will pray for people who have suffered from people who are loveless/godless. I myself am not a religious person but I would be a fool to deny that a citizenship that believes in god is a far kinder citizenship to each other and people who love their country and neighbors are far stronger together than people who hate each other and everyone.
I love seeing multimillionaire black men trying to show how hard it is on others

He is talking about a movement that contains for the vast majority people that aren't rich

.I think he is right, there is so much you can't comprehend until you experience it or until you watch your friends go through it.
The simple answer to this complex question is the self mastery of a person. You can't beat the world into a frame, true change comes from humble reflection on yourself. Are you being honorable with your fellow men? Are you being kind and patient? Slow to anger? Willing to serve? Charitable? Etc.
By no means do I think that this means you have to be perfect, infact we as people are very much flawed, but we are given the abilities and talents that we have now from God to do what good we can while here on this earth. Hate never fixes hate, violence never truly resolves violence.
Can you honestly say, that if every person in this country, tried to change one small little thing about themselves today to be a better person, that the entire country as a whole wouldn't instantly become a better place?
Take a step back, reflect on where you are and what you can control and what you can't control. Come to peace with that and then step forward in whatever direction necessary to improve your circumstances.
When he asks why is there contention with the phrase "Black Lives Matter", in most cases I have seen, it is because of contention in regards to the organization. Of course everyone or most people think the lives of black colored people matter, but the organization "Black Lives Matter" is where the contention, at least for me, comes into play. The organization has motives on their website that don't relate to black lives mattering and the movement only seems to focus on a small piece of the problem in regards to the black community.
Exactly! Nobody, at least from what I have seen as well, is arguing about whether or not black people matter because obviously, they most certainly do and should...just as any human being matters. The organization Black Lives Matter is what I see causing so much controversy because they stand for so many things that don't seem to support black lives or promoting that cause. And, as you said, where I see the confusion coming in is when people say "black lives matter" and there is no clarification as to what is being spoken of.
People support the movement, but not the organization. Which is what should be done. Black people are starting to see what the organization's agenda is.
I just want to speak for myself. I am a Pakistani living in America and I am glad I chose this country even though it is not perfect but still way better then many.
Thank you. It's got it's issues but one the best countries if not best to live throughout this world
Uncle Will spittin 🔥🔥🔥
Why is the willielama... thank you Angela....
screaming? This man I really love 💕
First time Iv heard him speak politically and he did it well, he was the first black celebrity that was a huge part of my childhood and actually helped break stereotyping.
Will Smith is one of the greatest talents of the existence of America. He is even more intelligent and intellectually advanced than he is talented. Thank you Mr.smith for everything you have done and will accomplish.
DroneGuy That's true. I am Italian, but while I can see doctors, scientist and other great figures bringing actual change and advancement as a country, species and so on, they are rarely a point of reference. That's some under the scene work (with some great exceptions obviously). The large part of the population usually looks at celebrities and tries to imitate them or behaves better because they’re inspired by them. Summing it up, it's nice to have someone like Will Smith, even if it doesn't find a new cure for a disease, doesn't bring more justice changing laws or doesn't discover new tech things.
I think this is what the original commenter was thinking about when writing the comment. Moreover, but I know nothing about, it could be actively doing something for a great cause right now, donating, supporting or bringing the cause to our eyes, for example.
Keywords “one of”, its a fact tho
@GJU GJU DARLING Happy birthday 🎂🎊💃to you and Will for September.
Will first and foremost you are a passionate man you always keep it 100 I am an elder who watched you grow up ,you are a father of two youngmen and you know from growing up in Philly the real for black males, thank you Will Love you keep doing good work, you &Jada.
Why not have love and compassion instead of negativity. First of all droneguy I didn’t say he has brought change what I said is he is one of the great talents. Talent. TALENT! you get it TALENTED PERSON! Do you get it now. One more time. TALENTED! And for the record he has brought change to my life. He has changed my way of think and how I promote myself as a human being. Bc love and compassion is what we need if you have nothing nice to say don’t say it you remember your mother saying that. I didn’t comment for people who live with out live and compassion so drone guy I wish you the best but promote love and compassion if you want this change you are talking about
3:21 I've never heard him say that
11:31 I love Will for putting this out there
They dont want kanye as president,
They need will smith as their president
Kim K could be your first lady
i've been saying this for awhile tbh... Will Smith is one of the most liked and respected black actors world wide, if there is any celeb that needs to be president it would be this man 100% from his music to his tv shows to movies. You can mention this man in any country and any language and people literally smile. If we manage to pull off having a black president, not questioned by a large chunk of our country... this man needs to be it.
Reminds me of that Mark Twain quote:
"Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured."
The RealneSs of it all 4Sh0 ooo 😊
Smith looks desperate ... hollywood has corrupted everything in his life
When you hear Will talk ....you’ll realize why he faces so much public scrutiny, they never had love for the black man who is aware of his light
Smith is clueless ... he went for the money and it destroyed his life and his children ... he has no idea what it's like for most people
Joe D Nice interview he is evolving into a conscious citizen...
@@bigvalley4987 Nah, he's devolved into a guy whose career has slumped and is trying to get back in the good books by parroting the mainstream narrative.
Will is my all time favourite actor he doesn’t know how to make a bad film he reaches out so naturally to people in his roles touching all emotions a human can feel . The word racism is the ugliest word we have please why can’t we just see people I mean see people we all cry we all bleed we all hurt how can one person dislike or hate another and not even know them it lacks basic human intelligence love yer will !!
