It still amazes me how the world became involved in South Africa's affairs during the 80's, sanctions and so forth - and rightly so - we all know the reasons. Currently, that same world appears to turn a blind eye as the ANC slowly (or quickly?) destroys South Africa with their greed to steel at any opportunity. As long as it is under the mantle of democracy all is OK. Democracy failed miserably in South Africa.

How can anyone say "rightly so" when messing with South Africa's sovereignty has caused untold hardship for those it was supposed to help. You do know the median income, clinical access and even education, yes even under the bantu system, was better than the UN average for the rest of Africa under the old system.
The ANC didn't even begin to feature as a movement until they adopted people's war strategies from vietnam. If it wasn't for them blatantly murdering their own brothers and sisters brutally to force compliance. The bantu states might have actually become successful sovereign entities.
And before you scream racism, I am black and was born after '94. Spare me your virtue signalling.

He did mention how impressed he is with the people of SA, with regards how we can alway make a workaround to survive. We are a resilient nation. What is so saddening is that we put up with this even though the politicians have no will to fix it. Loadshedding, no power cuts don’t anger me and I can find a workaround and live with the current situation for an extended period. The root of the electricity state of disaster is that inept managers replaced experienced Eskom staff in the early 2000s. I can remember one Eskom Annual Report where the management were granted huge year-end bonuses for saving so much on maintenance cost.🤦‍♂ Needless to say, if the maintenance had been done at the time...

Because the ANC virus was introduced into the fabric of SA as a “ government “ in 1994 and they never had, nor ever will have the competency to run a country since they are revolutionary terrorists that planted bombs before that. No terrorist organization or communist bunch has EVER built or managed ANYTHING successfully. So since 1994 they have been poisoning the fabric of SA like the cancer they are. Their BEE policies, incompetence and corruption has eroded the pillars keeping the country and economy standing and we have reached a point where it is all starting to collapse, and this rot started way back already. Actually even from 1990 when De Klerk and his Chronies orchestrated a coup on PW and knew they are going to give SA to the ANC commies, the stealing started under the old NP already….

The suggestion of the ANC going overseas to study failures of other first world countries regarding electricity supply is comical. The ANC does not have the competence to learn from other countries' mistakes, let alone implement a workable plan. Incompetence and corruption are the show stoppers. Electricity is just one of the basic services that are failing. Other services are rapidly following the same downward trend, including roads, water, sewage, healthcare, police, military and more! With basic services collapsing, dependant business shall collapse. Tragic.

If only apartheid South Africa was a country that serviced every citizen pre-1994, our country would be very far in terms of its development.
Before 1994, less 30% households had access to electricity, today we have over 90% households connected to the grid, hence the high demand.
Koeberg nuclear power station sells to Eskom at R0,40 cents per KW, coal powered stations sell to Eskom at R0,80 cents per KW, and then Eskom sells to the consumers at about R1,60 - R1,82 per KW.
On the other hand, IPPs (solar & wind) sell to Eskom at about R2,40 per KW and that is illogical and unsustainable.
Privatisation is absolutely not the answer in the South African context, our only hope is building more nuclear power stations.
South Africa has immense potential, we just need a bold leader that will make unpopular decisions.

Take a look at the Australian system. Also, the way power is used is changing so dramatically. As an example, it turns out that the highest number of hours per day that people use energy is when they are using their smartphones. That is DC stored energy. There are numerous other examples.

Are you working, or have you worked, in the UK? Those planning to claim the UK State Pension should check their National Insurance Contributions Record, which can be done online, before 5 April 2023. Currently, Voluntary Contributions can be made to plug gaps dating back to April 2006, but this will be curtailed from 5 April 2023. If you have any gaps, it is worth considering if you wish to fill these gaps with Voluntary Contributions.

Our economy is going down the drain because we have a party in control that has no other interest but how their uneducated cadres can be deployed into jobs that require knowledge and education and where they can loot more money from.

He says that there are people with the right stuff to give him hope. But didn't Russia have those people when it descended into communism and does it not have them now when Russia is belligerent? Did Ukraine not have those people when the holomodor happened? China had plenty of those people, many of them murdered by Mao, when China descended into the deadly cultural revolution. I think it is more likely that the ANC will abandon democracy as soon as it is not in their favour. Look at the news, they are already trying to change governing structures at the municipal level and that is just laying the ground work for the communist state that the ANC has always wanted.

The only trouble is, every time they try and reinvent the wheel, the damn thing turns out square!

After reading the comments, it's just so appalling 2 see how much people has to say & yet they cant see the picture. People need to wake up & really understand what is going on, not only in SA, but globally. There is an agenda & the ANC in SA is just the vehicle being used to achieve this agenda. Whatever they do on the side, that's not important as long as they achieve the end goal. Who suffers? Everybody in this country not on the ANC bandwagon. It can be stopped if SAs can unity, but that is another issue. We r so docile & accept anything, we r so disunified, that unity is a pipe dream. The 🌈 nation with gaps between the colors
