Even the ones who fought in previous wars were literally screaming and crying about possibly losing their sons. There should 100% be an option to volunteer in place of someone else, as long as you’re physically able. There’s a difference between patriotism and being overly prideful. Anybody who actively wants young men to join the military is the latter.

If President Putin gets his way and Russian territory grows, and it is, who's to say if he would go after other countries? For this reason we must maintain our military, and all branches. However the USA does have quite a few internal problems, and we may defeat ourselves first. They need to bust up some of the monopolies we have here in America into smaller companies and foster manufacturing facilities here at home instead of other countries.

My Great Grandpa was a Navajo Code Talker, he was asked one time why he served in the Marines for a country that didn't care and hated him. He said that he loves this country that he grew up on, yhat his whole family lived on, and that he would fight for his land, and family. It meant alot to him and the passion he had. Such an amazing person.

What a lot of people don't understand is that only a small percentage of people in the military are actually combatants. When people think military, they automatically think soldiering in some shape or form. Many support jobs that offer excellent experience, with credentials that will set you up for the future. Hell, there's many people that join enlisted after obtaining a college degree. People join for many different reasons. Not only because of opportunity or patriotism.
Since all American wars are to benefit the military industrial complex, why die to enrich defense contractors and their stockholders?
Because a lot of people still have these ignorant parents that watched too much top gun and they think they are protecting something.. these people are more prideful than the alphabet gang... and just as bad.

True. It takes guts to stand up to NATO and the US. However Afghan goat shepherds defeated it once already so our generation can too. Bit by bit.
