Edit: someone else added that you need to either keep it out of the sunlight, or change the hydrogen peroxide occasionally, so that it doesn’t just turn to water (the peroxide will chemically react to the sunlight)./ also try to get some highly concentrated stuff from a chemicals manufacturer, because store bought is weak.
Well hydrogen peroxide that’s readily available from the store is only 3%, which isn’t very exciting. Lab grade stuff is 30%. There’s a fun time. It’s extremely oxidizing :)

If I'm correct in my thinking, the reason the plastic stuff when exposed to the lighter fluid became stiff is because the ethanol in the lighter fluid dissolved some of the compounds within the plastic causing a shorter molecular structure therefore making it less malleable.
It's because the Compound mD5 hash want connected to the OC3 optical line because it was decomposed from the lighter fluid therefore causing no molefular connection which is why the plastic was stiff
