Warning about Dreft: it contains boat loads of fragrances and we found out the hard way that our son was allergic to it. I personally recommend any detergent free of fragrance and dyes. It cleans baby’s clothes effectively without the irritating stuff.
Cheyla Hagensen true. There are a lot of other natural detergents. Seventh generation is one. I think honest company by Jessica Alba has one too or babyganics at target. They’re a little pricier but worth it and I’m sure they can afford 😅.
Yes, also I found seventh generation isn’t toxic free. My personal favorite is Branch Basics. I no longer use Dreft as well.

I was told in my 20’s I had a 0% chance of ever getting pregnant due to my endometriosis and ovarian cysts. I was told I could either just deal with it or be put on hormones which would basically send my body into early menopause. So I went with the “just deal with it” option. I was depressed, I was happy, I was angry, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions. But my husband and I kept trying. We had hope. We tried for 4 years. And I decided I was done- no more trying, no more doctors, no more medication, no more. And now here I am, my beautiful miracle baby will be TWO!! On Thursday. Two years old!! I have been on cloud nine since I saw those two very positive test and heard that strong heartbeat. Only moms who have struggled with fertility know how different our love is. I’m not saying everyone else loves their child less, it’s just a feeling and bond only we could understand. To say I am over the moon happy for you and Steven and yalls family- would be an understatement. Once that sweet boy is earth side, don’t feel rushed to show us him, take all the time you want to simply enjoy him. Breathe in his intoxicating smell. Hold him as much as you want- I held my son all day and he’s perfectly fine. You and Steven will be incredible parents no doubt about it. Baby Perkins is loved beyond measure. Congratulations again, take it all in mama and dada- for this journey will be the most beautiful you will ever embark✨💖

Girl, do the research. Dreft has so many chemicals it’s actually not recommended for babies. It smells amazing but it’s a no no (for me). All free clear is a better alternative. Doesn’t have a scent & no chemicals👍🏼 just trying to inform, love you guys!

I cry every week when I watch these episodes. As someone who struggles with fertility the pure joy and love in your house , between you and Steven , your guys friends even the dogs makes my heart so happy❤. I can not wait to watch you guys become parents .

It’s honestly so crazy how you can be so happy for people you have never met but I’ve been watching Desi for so many years. I remember watching your hardest video that you have had to film and sobbed with you then and sobbed again all throughout this journey. I constantly show my mum your beautiful bump. I can’t wait to see him and meet him. So so happy for you both and again a massive congratulations!!

I know there’s always millions of us commenting and the chances of you seeing this is slim. But I’ve followed you for many years now and it’s a cleaning Sunday. No new uploads for me to watch, so I decided to re watch all of your Perkins videos. I just finished watching The Perkins Tuscany Vlog and I can’t even hold in happiness. Because you were telling Steven you wanted him to build you the little grape vine holder (idk what it’s called) that you walked under and talked about how you that was your dream, the rose bushes, basically your own secret garden. Annnd here you are, with a garden that has bloom so beautifully that grew with love as much as that Baby Perkins did. Honestly just so happy for your little growing family! Besides loving every second of the latest installment, when you’re on your way to the 4D ultrasound I think you had the 2000’s on that I want so bad 😍 I think I can speak for everyone, all us moms watching your journey are feeling like we’re doing it all over again right along with you ❤️❤️❤️❤️ even tho our only baby turned 38 in July, I can remember every kick, hiccup and rollover. Love you both so much!

These videos have been the best part of my month. About a month ago I had an emergency surgery because I had an ectopic pregnancy and my fallopian tube ruptured. It's been the hardest time because we've been trying for almost two years and it felt like we were finally going to have a baby. felt lost for a little bit but watching your fertility journey has taught me that each journey is significant and special. Hurts like hell but i know that the moment i get to hold my baby in my arms for the first time, it will be all worth it. Thank you for giving me hope.

Don’t use dreft as baby detergent. That has so much added chemicals as fragrance. It’s good if your baby doesn’t have sensitive skin sure, but if he does it’s not good !

So excited for you Desi! I’m currently 8 days overdue and have done SOOO much research into laundry detergent. Dreft actually has a really bad reputation and the baby is going to be touching your clothes, bedding, blankets, all kind of things that are washed with ‘your’ detergent. I’d highly recommend digging deeper into dreft. We’ve gone for a free & clear detergent for everything now so that we’re using the same stuff as the baby 🥰

LifeWithNya I use ALL Free & Clear for everything in our household including our (mom & dads) clothes, bed sheets, baby clothes, blankets, towels - everything! :)
We sometimes add a little Unstoppables to our own clothing/bedding for scent.

As a first time momma who gave birth during the pandemic. I remember stressing so much on the nursery and what diaper bag to get. My 3 month old daughter has never slept in her nursery yet. One thing I wish someone told me about was to read up on was my postpartum care and mental health. I was never aware of what roller coaster I would be on and still on, and sometimes it can feel like you will be on that ride alone. So happy for you Desi enjoy every moment :)

I got CHILLS during the ultrasound footage because I realized like wow you guys get to hold him so soon🥺💞 the heartbeat recording is such an amazing touch to your visit, I’m so happy you both got the ultrasound you deserve!
