Hello from WV, Jen I loved your and Bethany worked on this project. And Bethany, the closing stitch is what I use and I too, have always called it a ladder 🪜 stitch. Beautiful ladies.

What a nice video. You are both lovely to listen to and instructions are great. Thank you ❤

Lovely project but I too have a mainly hate relationship with lavender so I have Jasmine walnut shells 🙂
That sounds amazing! We're happy you enjoyed this project. Thank you for your comment. -Michelle
It is so beautiful. I also love lavender, but I’m allergenic to it 🥲
We are glad you enjoy this fun pincushion! -Michelle
Thank you for this wonderful video! I am in the process of making this beautiful pincushion and missed that the green sides needed the interfacing added, do you think I will be ok without it? I don’t have enough fabric to remake them with the interfacing or I would. I am doing this by hand except for the appliqué of the flower.
Hi June - That is fine. The original pattern didn't have a lining - we just chose to add it as extra reinforcement, but it's fine with out it. -Michelle
Nicer one thsn the last
So glad you like it! -Michelle
Very pretty project. I love lavender and handwork. I love the little embroidery you did. I would like to make this! I'm thinking about my guild's holiday swap. So, you didn't interface any of the fabric before filling it with walnut shells? I sometimes do that to make it more sturdy. Do you think it's okay without it?
Hi Stephie, All the green side pieces, and the white top and bottom pieces were interfaced before they were sewn. Hope this info helps! -Bethany
@@ShabbyFabrics thanks and sorry if I missed that in the video!
I call that stitch a ladder stitch, too, Bethany. ;-)
Phew! Ok great :) I can never remember what was taught to me and what was made up in my mind. Thanks for watching! -Bethany
I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO MAKE THIS BUT IT IS WAY TO COMPLICATED FOR ME. BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING IT.
We are happy you enjoy it! Thank you for watching! -Michelle
I think it looked more complicated than it is because they taught both methods simultaneously. Beautiful pincushion!
Did you take the paper out of the petals on the top of the pincushion?
Hi Carol - Yes, we removed the papers from the petals prior to stitching down. Hope this helps 🙂 -Michelle
Very pretty, a little difficult to follow, still not sure how to put the sides together.
While we did have to cover a lot of information in a limited amount of time, but the pattern is a bit more detailed. Which page did you need help with? -Michelle
I realize that this video is a year old so there are no kits available, but is the pattern available?
So glad you like this one! You can find this pattern here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p117539 -Michelle
Closing stitch could be a “mattress stitch”
Great suggestion! Thank you for watching. -Michelle
