I bought a braun tgc 450 a while ago and im quite sure noone ever opened before. After it wasnt operating i thought the belts need to be replaced but nah...the grease was just sticky, after a good cleaning of the spindles etc. it was fully functional again. Braun seemed to have a really good gum - mixture back in the days
I also have one of these which my grandfather bought new in the 80s. He handed it down to me with the original owners manual and receipt. FYI, the manual recommends stacking it cassette deck, amp, tuner, turntable, top to bottom. Hello from Canada!

The right order of the components is: P1 - T1 - A1 - C1. There are cooling fins at both sides of the tuner. For what? The tuner is the additional cooling component for the amplifer (the heat goes up ;-) ). It is also the electronic shielding for the turntable. Comprende? Got this stereo too. Ich habe die Anlage P1 T1 A1 C1 ebenfalls im täglichen Gebrauch. Kühlrippen sind da keine am Tuner, Kühlschlitze schon. Oder sind die Rippen dahinter? Und die sollen den darunterstehenden Verstärker helfen? Hmmmm. Bei mir steht der Verstärker bisher unterm Plattenspieler.
Hey Tobias, Habe vor kurzem eine komplette Braun Atelier Anlage geschenkt gekriegt!!! A2, C2, T2, P3 und CD4 :) Den Plattenspieler muß ich noch etwas überholen (die Automatik läuft nicht mehr gut, aber ich bin mir fast sicher, daß das nahezu ausnahmslos Verharzungen sind oder vielleicht ein defekter Riemen). Der Verstärker bekommt noch neue Siebelkos (das ist dringend nötig), und dann funktioniert alles wieder einwandfrei. Ach so ja, die Originalboxen habe ich auch noch dazu bekommen ;) Sind faszinierende Geräte - und es macht wahrlich Spaß, an so hochwertiger Technik zu arbeiten!!
danke für dein kommentar und glückwunsch zu diesem tollen geschenk! wer würde da nein sagen, auch wenn dann doch noch was zu tun ist? aber schließlich ist das bei diesen alten schätzken meistens so. am besten ein video draus machen! :)
@@LP3-vinylcleaner Ich überlege eh, einen Vlog zu starten, mit Reparaturen in meiner Wekstatt. Muß ich nur mal die Zeit für finden :) Mittlerweile funktioniert auch der Plattenspieler wieder perfekt. Jetzt bekommt nur der Amp noch neue Siebelkos, dann ist alles wie neu :)
I just bought a P4 turntable for twice as much... Hope it will come in usable state. I would love to have the C4 tape deck also... Which can be considered as weird in the times of streaming services, etc.
