I just remember watching the Netflix dark crystal series and getting to that one scene and immediately feeling like I'd seen those motions before, then watched the behind the scenes footage only to be so proud to know he was their first choice for the scene!

Loved this guys work. Felt utterly betrayed when he went transphobic and tried to spread that rhetoric. I know trans artists who looked up to him myself included and it stings to have someone like that look back down and spit on you just for existing ( in a way Ive felt since preschool!)

I felt the same, I'm not even trans but I utterly refuse to support transphobic or any needlessly hateful people. People like that don't grant themselves complexity and demand simplicity from others. These pupets are awesome. I do feel like wearing black gloves would help though, since you could focus on the puppet and not the hand. Maybe greenscreen gloves to fully remove the hands? Though that may be a step too far.

This person is different because he essentially gives his puppets soul just by moving them with his hands or fingers. They are alive!
I enjoyed his videos until he uploaded a full 22 minute video dedicated to spewing misinformation about trans minors, and responded to the criticism by essentially doubling down. I wish he and those like him wouldn't be so arrogant as to speak on an issue they know nothing of, and use their influence to hurt the most vulnerable around them.
