How to make a seashell tassel

Do you ever wonder what you could make out of your collection of seashells? I have a unique and stylish seashell home decor idea for you that is almost free. I came up with a DIY seashell tassel using black bay scallops from the Jersey Shore. You can use any other shells as well like cowrie shells, clam shells, mussel shells, snail shells, conch shells…
All you need is a collection of your favorite seashells and some twine of your choice, plus some tools!

Supplies needed for a seashell tassel:
▶︎ seashells of your choice
▶︎ jute yarn amzn.to/43RqXKa , twine, raffia, or any other yarn of your choice
▶︎ scissors
▶︎ Dremel with a drill bit amzn.to/3Qhxuuo or mini/micro hand drill amzn.to/43M3HNx
▶︎ old cutting board or flat piece of scrap wood
▶︎ hot glue (optional)
▶︎ duct tape
I used around 130 seashells. You can make a much smaller tassel if you want to use less seashells. This seashell tassel was inspired by Balinese decor which uses a lot of seashells and raffia.
