I’m torn between wanting this song to be longer bc it’s so good but i’m also a hardcore kid at heart so i love that they get in, say what they have to say, and get out. This song kicks off the album and goes straight into another fast and furious one called Die Anyway, so it doesn’t feel as abrupt.
You can’t go wrong with Sisters of Suffication. Definitely the wrong term but they’re always so balls to the wall, and Els puts it all on the line every time. Simone (blonde guitarist) is a riff machine and Emmelie (brunette guitar) added so much energy. Their rhythm section is always mean as fuck , whether it’s Amber (D)/Puck (B) in the original line up or Fons (D)/Tim (B) in the new line up.
I always like to go chronologically when i’m checking out new bands, but it’s all gold here. If you want to check out more of them, i definitely recommend starting out with their first single and EP Brutal Queen. It’s heavy as shit, catchy, fun, and a very on brand introduction to them. Their first LP Curiosity of Anthologies has an old school swedish death metal feel and is full of sludgy, grungy, grimey goodness. i’m just getting into catching out Humans Are Broken, but it had me dialed in from opening track to closing. This one is from Eradication, their newest, and it rips your face off whether it’s on the fast tracks like this or the slower, doomier tracks.
