    Great job. I was just thinking it would be nice to have a tripod with a light on it so when im working in my shop in areas that don't get good light I could just bring over a tripod and bam there would be my light

    It seems to go together on RUclips...great craftsmen...lousy choice in music!
    I think I prefer no music, ever heard the sound of a sharp plane slicing off a perfect shaving?

    Hey, great work with your tripod. I just wanted to ask one question. How and what materials did you use for the metal compartments and bits for the top part of the tripod (that makes the camera move?). Thank you very much.

    Curiosidade, gastou em média de quanto reais nele? Ficou incrível mesmo. A nível profissional.

    • @maquinasdemadeira
      @maquinasdemadeira  8 лет назад

      +Anton Astolf Não foram reais, foram euros. Mas foi pouco dinheiro. As ripas de madeira foram sobras e os parafusos são só 3 e muito baratos. Coisa para menos de 5 euros.

    • @brunoromanon
      @brunoromanon 8 лет назад

      No total foram cerca de 5 euros? Gostei muito do tripé, pensando em fazer ele. É bom ter uma base kk aparentemente parece caro

    Hi, could you please confirm the measurements? I think I seen 27mm x 8mm. But I thought one would need to be 1/3 of the of the other. Just want to be sure before I begin 😃 . Thanks

    • @maquinasdemadeira
      @maquinasdemadeira  10 лет назад

      Is not necessary to be 1/3 0ne of the other. You are correct 27mm*8mm.
      thanks.

    Homemade? why would I have this stuff at my home?

    • @Arthurguy95
      @Arthurguy95 9 лет назад +2

      It was made at his own home. In his own workshop. Does not necessarily apply to you.

    • @seayar1629
      @seayar1629 9 лет назад +1

      Then don't write homemade?

    • @Arthurguy95
      @Arthurguy95 9 лет назад

      Homemade does not imply that you can make it yourself with normal household objects.

    • @Arthurguy95
      @Arthurguy95 9 лет назад +1

      It just means it was made in someones own personal time in their own home.

    looking for a parts list for the top with swivel action? thanks

    • @HandymanKevin
      @HandymanKevin 10 лет назад

      Looks like parts from the drain stopper on a bathroom sink. Very clever! If it were I, though, I would just leave a piece of 1/4-20 all-thread on there. Then you could use any standard tripod head with it.

    • @LLuE88
      @LLuE88 10 лет назад

      may be?, must investigate, I need a completely magnet free material, thanks,

    • @HandymanKevin
      @HandymanKevin 10 лет назад

      LLuE88 Sink parts could probably be OK, because they are usually copper and/or plastic (to be rust proof). What are you mounting, some sort of compass? If so, you could probably get away with a small amount of iron, as long as you corrected it (that's what the adjustable iron balls were for on the old sailing ship binnacles).

    • @LLuE88
      @LLuE88 10 лет назад

      ***** exactly, a rebuilt Artillery M2, when I was a Battery commander this was one of the testing measures of a firing battery readiness test to use a M2 to lay the battery, I may have been a little lucky but each time I got it done within either 4 or 5 mils, anything less than 20 mils was acceptable if I recall correctly. this now is just for fooling around survey. the price for a small non-magnetic tripod is more than I care to pay. most any hard ball drilled and tapped I can adapt to for the rest of it. each camera tripod so far has had steel or iron in it.

      +ALEXANDRIUS Also you don't get the satisfaction when you buy something. It is very rewarding to make something versus buying it sometimes.

    It's better to buy a real tripod because buying these things to make this would itself be very expensive

      This video seems to be made more for people that have the wood and tools already and don’t want to spend the money on a tripod.

  • @mrnothing249

    amazing genius work and design.
    worst DIY ever for practicality. I don't have that many professional tools. What is the point of DIY then.

    • @layeredchip3220

      These are pretty basic wood working tools. If you’re going to DIY something you’re going to have to pick up some skills and tools.
