After coming back to listen to this a few times over the last few weeks, my opinion has changed and this track has grown on me on a big way. Yeah I wish Billie's voice was clearer and the bass wasn't so distorted, but the essence of the track goes so fuckin hard, it just has 'impact'...and it's different. Props to Hahlweg.
For anyone complaining about the heavy distortion, I think thats just because it was made with a self made acapella and the distortion was used to cover up the artifacts of the acapella (apart from just sounding cool).
The distortion is a bit much, could flow better if it's used more sparingly to highlight a section but it loses its effect when it's constant throughout. (Imho)
Although I like some of billie eilish songs, I don't like this one (the original). But this remix is amazing, I really love the distorsion. It feels so warm and deep and throbbing, I know it's a matter of tastes but to me it's an eargasm. Good work on this one @Hahlweg
This would be an absolute bop in the car IF the distortion was toned down. This already sounds like it's going through my mate's shitty subwoofer in his trunk and muffling all the lyrics entirely
I just feel like her music is very low effort in general but that might be just me i suppose. It's supposed to be emotional yet in never manages to properly be emotional to me. Would much rather listen to someone like EDEN instead.
