    I'm definitely getting some level IV plates from tacticon,
    My question is unrelated to the plates though.
    Is Tacticon Armament planning on ever making their own NVGs and/or thermals?
    Just saying if Tacticon ever does I'd buy them.

    • @TacticonArmament

      Thanks Travis. Yes, thermals are being prototyped now and we're considering releasing some digital NVG's... they're nowhere near as effective as Gen 2 and Gen 3 green/white phosphorous... but if you have even digital NV, and the enemy doesn't, you win. Our goal for digital NVG's is to offer a bump helmet + the NV for about $600... don't hold me to it, but that's the goal.

  • @another3997

    My interest is really only in the way various armour works, the history, materials and technology etc, and I'm sure you make great products. I don't even own any hard plates (Gun crime is pretty low where I live, and rifle or assault weapons are a tiny, tiny fraction of that). But switching to "Devils Advocate" mode because I'm a PITA 😉... Do you make your own UHMPE fabric from scratch, or the steel alloys? I suspect it's all bought in, so like everyone else, you rely on others to produce the finished product. A product is only as good as the lowest common denominator, it's foundations. If you have no direct control over that ingredient, you're not THAT different to the other companies. All you can do is test what you get, which is what all the other companies do anyway. They all stand or fall on the efficacy of their products. It's like the warranty on your car... it only guarantees they'll do something IF it goes wrong, not that it won't go wrong in the first place. Sorry, not a real rant, just applying my skewed version of logic. 🙂

    • @TacticonArmament
      @TacticonArmament  Год назад

      No sir, we do not mine the ore to make our steel anymore than the contractor chopped down the tree that built your house.
      However, we test every lot of armor before it's sold even if it's already NIJ certified.
      I must say that your response:
      "you're not THAT different to other companies" is fallacious.
      Most armor companies don't make their armor from raw material to finished plate.
      That... is a fact my friend.

    Instant credibility. Why do I say that? Because when you buy a product that benefits law enforcement and combat veterans - from a company owned and operated by combat veterans - you can trust the process. The video was great, but the backstory of what comprises the management/personnel at Tacticon sold me long ago. Now, for the benefit of us all, please keep running the business responsibly so it continues to thrive. Otherwise we'll all suffer. Thank you.

    basically speaking. If you dont live in Kentucky, Tennessee or anywhere south near the bible belt; you're probably good with lvl3 and even lvl4.
    But anywhere else in the south. It wouldnt really matter. You're kinda SOL if you do engage any combatants in the south. Most are sharpshooters and know a thing or two on how to make weapons. And most have access to military equipment or the state government does not enforce/regulate the proliferation of restricted equipment or otherwise would be illegal in liberal/progressive states that think 5.56/AK rounds are WMD's if possessed by their denizens, you're fighting an uphill battle. Not only that. Much of Appalachia and great plains have no reception/service and cannot be accessed by a car. For serious insurgency or attempt to occupy another state/governing body, you got to put boots on the ground. And Im certain those fashionable platform boots, high-heels, jesus sandals, crocs, and skateshoes that Ive seen the left like to wear aint gonna cut it. And wager to guess they are 100% gonna rock steel or lvl3A kevlar. I mean. They're not that smart, not that prepared. And not that capable. Fair game. But if anyone got any ideas going up against some redneck good-ol boys. Yea you're gonna be in for a rude awakening and be 1st place for the darwin award.
    Just some food for thought.
